Hypothetically… If we can do what we need to do and win it all this year!

If you are in Mario shoes and the Miami Dolphins call… do you answer and entertain a NFL job opening??

I say no…but barber shop talk is that many think Mario can be like a Dan Campbell type coach. I don’t think Mario should ever leave college.

answer is no, Mario is a recruiter and there’s no recruiting in NFL. But let’s save this for the offseason.

No way. Mario bleeds orange and green not orange and teal. He won’t make the same mistake Butch Davis made. He wants to be our Bobby Bowden.

I personally think Mario enjoys certain aspects of college coaching that don't exist in the NFL. When you hear him talk about how he loves the boys like they are his own sons, he truly means that. That's why he loves recruiting and why he is genuinely so good at it. He is authentic when he tells parents that he is going to take care of their son.

The NFL is a completely different animal, and I don't believe Mario has a thirst for coaching in that environment and with those players the way he loves to mentor and develop young men.

Add to that the way he loves the University of Miami, and I think he wants to retire as our head coach if he can. That's his dream.

He wouldn't.

For quality of life, he should at least consider it if it's a serious opportunity.

College coaching life is hard. Especially on families. NFL is hard too but at least there's an off-season.
