Should or would?

He wouldn't.

For quality of life, he should at least consider it if it's a serious opportunity.

College coaching life is hard. Especially on families. NFL is hard too but at least there's an off-season.
You believe there is an off-season in the NFL? For players yes but coaches no...lol...Mario makes 8 million a year for the last 4 years, he played in NFL, coached at fiu, bama, and oregon, now Miami quality of life Mario been had that...Mario got millions family

Mario wants to be Saban (before leaving LSU), Jimmy (before leaving UM), Butch (before leaving UM).....Wants to be them all before they decided to head for "greener" pastures. Cane lifer if he keeps this trajectory.

Admittedly, I don't know the schedule of an NFL head coach.

I just assumed that since they didn't have to recruit, they had an off-season or at least a significantly less stressful off-season. They also don't deal with contract negotiations and academics and teenagers.

I'm not sure how different the calendars are but I think the quality of life for an NFL head coach is typically considered easier than the quality of life for a college head coach.

I dont think Mario came to Miami to build it back up and then hand over the keys to someone else. Mario Cristobal IS Miami Hurricane football. I think this dude retires as a Cane.
True. I could totally see him being our Bobby Bowden. There’s not many, but there’s a few college coaches I could see staying at their jobs until they retire, and Mario is one of them. Plus, nobody loves recruiting and acquiring talent more than Mario. Sometimes I think he enjoys that as much or more than all the other stuff.

I personally think we need to play Za'Quan Patterson more at safety, see what he can do. That is the discussion we are having right?

Hypothetically… If we can do what we need to do and win it all this year!

If you are in Mario shoes and the Miami Dolphins call… do you answer and entertain a NFL job opening??

I say no…but barber shop talk is that many think Mario can be like a Dan Campbell type coach. I don’t think Mario should ever leave college.

What say you ?

For the record, I don't think there's a better fit, in all of college football as Mario at Miami.

It's not just that he loves the school more than any other coach loves their school. It's all the connections and experience too.

All the connections with the teams and players and coaches from the 80s and 90s and early 2000s. The connection with the Columbus crew that brings in so much support. The childhood in Miami and understanding the Miami mindset. Then the recruiting and modern machine he learned from Saban and Oregon.

He may not be the best head coach out there but he's by far the best fit.

Him and Utah’s ex head coach were both great fits!

Mario is building a monster here at Miami ! We are going to be really good for many years to come !!!

I really don’t see any other coach understanding the standard and doing everything in their power to get it back to that other than Mario!

I love y’all but yall funny !!!😂😂 if I asked this same question in October many would have gave Mario up for two silver nickels, and a single Newport cigarette!!

I’m proud of how far we have come in such short time !! Go Canes !!!

Mario wants to coach til he croaks on the UM sideline yelling at a robot offical at the age of 95. He's not going anywhere.

Mario is NOT lk. He's not leaving his alma mater team he just built and could possible turn into a juggernaut like he played in. Mario bleeds Orange and Green. full stop
