Virginia Tech-Miami saw ESPN cut away before the final play, plus a high-five in the announcing booth after a Miami TD (updated)
ESPN's broadcast of Virginia Tech's 42-35 win over Miami Saturday took criticism, including for a cutaway before the last play and a high five in the booth.awfulannouncing.com
How did I know nothing about this? And WHy would Perry force a ball into a guy who is literally TRIPLE COVERED?!?! Why? Because he never even looked at another read. Locked onto his first target from the snap and forced it in there whether there was any shot at it being completed or not. That's Perry for you! He did that numerous times all game long. I even saw him lock in on a check down from the snap on one play. Never even glanced at the primary receivers.
Bro I am just finding out and I was slightly recovering from Mop syndrome until I heard this lolDon't make this thread if you're not gonna post a replay. I want to know just how awful the play design was.
That's kinda why I posted that Perry still has his faults also. He literally was going there 3 defenders be damned. As with all truly pathetic coaching staffs, even if the O improves then the D will consistently fail us. That's that happens. You end up losing in a variety of ways. As an Auburn grad and a lifelong Miami fan, I've seen it way too many times.
Enos called basically the same play and V Tech ran the same defense smh.Wait...what
HAHAHAHAHA I had no idea
What a pathetic bunch of losers
It was a terrible play design. No one else was even trying to get open eitherHere's the play....

But that last play is a perfect example of how he struggles with doing that. He was forcing that ball to JT4 on that play even if Jeff had sprained his ankle at the snap and fallen down at the line of scrimmage.
No doubt, brock, blame all around. But my point is, it wouldnt even have mattered if they had blown coverage on the left side and a guy was standing wide open. Perry never even looked. It was a terrible play designed. No one else was even trying to get open either
He might have been better off on trying to run it in at that pointNo doubt, brock, blame all around. But my point is, it wouldnt even have mattered if they had blown coverage on the left side and a guy was standing wide open. Perry never even looked.
