Didn’t know we got second play with one second on the clock

And if mi Abuela had cojones, she’d be mi Abuelo and this team and it’s corches would still SUCK. We should play UF again to see how we’d fare, lol.

It was a terrible play design. No one else was even trying to get open either
Watched it a few more times. Man, you're spot on, brock. Horrific formation with two dudes bunched high, an RB who never made it through the line, and one target low. The two guys at the top ran at the speed people do when they thank someone for letting them cross the road and then do the pretend-a-jog in return. It's the final play of the game to force OT, for christ sake!!! How is it even possible that they would half *** it off that snap?!? Wouldnt any player on earth want to come off that line like Carl Lewis and fight like an absolute dog to get open?!? Wow, man, just wow... the team is rotted at its absolute core.

Legitimate question...

Is it possible that playcall was predetermined to go to JT4 regardless of coverage? That makes zero sense to me, but go watch #3 again a few times. He never looked back once for the ball and literally just stops running all together about the time he hits the end zone without having seen what happened in the play yet. I honestly cant think of any other logical explanation other than those two up high knew pre-snap the ball wasnt coming to them. At least #3 clearly did... I genuinely cant explain it otherwise.

Considering how they have done things in the past probably so, look back on Osborn td vs unc at the end of the first half, only 1 guy(osborn) showed any type of effort to get open and the same thing happened that play as well

agreed

*sighs* Good lord. I think it had to be that. There's no other explanation. And Harley hustled his a-s off all game, I thought he was one of the few that played with some fire yesterday. So I just don't think Harley would have tapped out like that. And it was really him I was talking about. Watching it again, **EDIT** KJ ran off hard and he did look back. But Harley unquestionably jogged off the line and took his foot off the gas entirely before he could have known the Kosi had thrown. JT4 was not only blanketed by two guys, there was a LB between them (who is the one who knocked it down). If that playcall was a predetermined pass, then somehow I hate Enos even more now than I did last night, which I didn't think was possible.

The playcall on the first last play of the game (with :05) on the clock: why fake a handoff there? EVERYONE knows you’re not going to hand it off in that spot.

On the second last play of the game: Perry needs to extend the play there and hope one of his guys can break free. They were only rushing three, no need to rush and throw into triple coverage.

dj was wide open in the flat for an easy td. lb was too slow getting over there. Perry missed the easy read instead tried to throw into 3 defenders

Disagree. Go watch it again. By the time Deejay got through the line because he got tripped up a bit, there was not one, not two, but three VT defenders between him and the goaline and two were looking right at him. He only looks open a second later because two of those guys broke back towards JT4 when Kosi started throwing. Deejay had zero chance of making it in. JT4 had zero chance of that ball even getting to him much less making the catch. Brevin ran into a machine gun nest of defenders and had zero chance on the play. Harley clearly knew the ball wasn't coming to him or took the play off as he basically jogged and never even turned his head around. Perry could not have gotten in with his legs, zero chance, there were nine million hokies between him and the goalline in every direction and he's not a good runner. The one person who arguably even had a chance of scoring was KJ if he could have shook one guy. Though Harley's man likely makes it to him in time as well if the ball had been thrown that way.

That play was doomed from the start. Absolutely ******* worthless.

You may be right on second play, but first play dj was scoring if it was dumped to him.

Here's the play....

How did I know nothing about this? And WHy would Perry force a ball into a guy who is literally TRIPLE COVERED?!?! Why? Because he never even looked at another read. Locked onto his first target from the snap and forced it in there whether there was any shot at it being completed or not. That's Perry for you! He did that numerous times all game long. I even saw him lock in on a check down from the snap on one play. Never even glanced at the primary receivers. Not putting this loss on Perry, by any means. He played better than Jarren, hands down. But that last play is a perfect example of how he struggles with doing that. He was forcing that ball to JT4 on that play even if Jeff had sprained his ankle at the snap and fallen down at the line of scrimmage.

Jarren stares receivers down as well.. both of them have that issue. NKosi made mistakes and that play was one of them. But NKosi is better for this team going forward. The offense is going to quit on Enos if Jarren remains the QB.

After watching that last play there was nobody open gtfoh putting that on Perry... blame Enos for the call bc I don’t see any way for that ball to get in the end zone.

Based off yesterday, I agree with you. But NKosi has such fundamental issues IMO that I don't think we will be any good with him either.
