we are going 1 vs 1s in practice ? lmao Manny must of really of hated Richts system

It was interesting what he said. He answered yes to that but then said that there wasn't necessarily a set group of 1s yet except for a few guys. I am sure they are trying to test everyone's level of competitiveness and also preparedness. Those that show that on any given day are most likely the 1s.. But it is great to hear that the best are going up against the best. And the more guys that get a shot at that the better for the team. By fall, even the 2s will be really tough....

“there wasn't necessarily a set group of 1s yet except for a few guys”

And probably most of those on defense

QBs alternated

Great to hear praise for ford and Silvera. Also of the young guys Payton and Harvey which I’m sure many of us expected. But Diaz mentioned Zion Nelson has also been competing at a high level, I’m interested in seeing how he progresses

And absolutely no entitlements… strictly only on the merit system regardless of the position.

It’s pretty common and it makes sense if you think about it. The ones on O need to work the game plan and so does the D. The 2s give you a good look running stuff you might see in the game from the opposing team.

Exactly. Now during spring I think same pairings is best because you are purely installing your stuff and looking how guys handle pressure. Now during the fall you have to go 1 v 2 etc like poster is stating. Now there should be some time allotted for 1 v 1 on their game plan to make sure the intensity is still there.

I'm all in on Peyton and have been so every since he went out of his way to throw up the U with my son, after one of his games prior to him getting on the bus. Oh, and it didn't hurt that he was the best player on the field, regardless of position, in every game that I watched him play last year!
