Marines don't play....at least they didn't in my day

We solved it with blanket parties for the slackers

After they recovered & returned from the infirmary in a few days they had a completely different (will run thru walls) attitude.
Will you be hosting a blanket party for the CIS Donkey???

Shanny knows full well this rhetoric buys him favor with stupid fans. Poor Shanny is stuck with a bunch of losers. He came here from Temple and was completely blindsided by all the shiftless non-competitive players on the roster.

Might take him many years for poor Shanny to fix this broken culture that he had nothing to do with.

Poor guy. I am sure he would have been much better off with those real savage north delaware and west Connecticut DAWGS!!

At least Manny is being transparent about what's going on. He is seeing and saying the same things we are. Hopefully behind closed doors he is holding the coaches accountable as well. This season is a **** show, predicated first with a sorry *** oline, then a sorry as kicking game, then some stubborn offensive coaching (not richt stubborn yet but getting there). We have to play with the players we have and adjust to their strengths. Gonna be a long ride this season I just hope to have entertaining and well played well fought games ...wins or losses be damned.
Why do you guys insist on buying every word spoonfed to you by coaches trying to protect their multimillion dollar contracts? How do you know Shanny is being transparent by dumping on the players? He could be publicly identifying the disease but has no idea what the cause is or is unwilling to admit what the cause is. Sometimes, players get despondent when they’re out in untenable situations.

You don’t think the players have heard from everyone how stupid our plan was against CMU? How dopey it is to keep running PA under center against a team of slugs crowding the LOS? How repeatedly dropping Garvin 20 yards downfield in coverage reeks of Doritos?

This is just bizarre to me. You people have never known anyone in sports, school, business, etc., who didn't have work ethic? Miami-Dade is currently infested with that toxic mentality, and Miami and FIU are seeing it first hand.

I think you're a solid poster, bro. However, this team is not full of Miami-Dade players.

17.6% of our players are from Miami-Dade
47% of the total roster is made up of "The State of Miami"
53% of the roster is composed of players outside of the State of Miami

Furthermore, I don't see kids who fly the nest have problems at other schools producing so obviously it's not a Miami-Dade problem.

The players only do what they feel they can get away with.

People have this fervent need to want to attack players, but players play & Coaches coach, the responsibility lies with the coaches to get the players to respect practice & give maximum effort. If guys aren't practicing hard it's because the people responsible for keeping them in line haven't done their job.

You think Saban, Dabo, or Lincoln Riley has to pull teeth to get guys to fall in line & practice hard? No, because those players know if they don't they won't see the field & will be immediately disciplined & replaced.

Our fans think Chidlren are supposed to raise themselves while parents sit back & take credit for it, don't work that way... If your kid is bad, it's because you didn't raise'em right, it's really that simple.
Agree, so are we to assume than if we see the same guys playing, the same poor play and terrible discipline than the substandard practice guys are reserves? I say no way, so if we don't see some new roles for players next game, I can't believe these practice reports.

We need 85 Jimmy Murphy’s, that’s what CMU had. Forget these soft assed 4 & 5*s. And yes, Manny does talk too much - if only his talk translated to play on the field.

If we had 85 Murphy’s we would not be very good, We need manny to make the 4 and 5 stars play like jimmy Murphy

That’s the million dollar chanllenge and that’s why he makes 7 figures

Good points regarding his transparency. He may have no idea how to fix the problems or has no intention to. But the fact is he is now on record stating players are slacking and that is the problem and he is going to do something about it now. He is not on record stating his coaches need serious fixing as well, including himself, but that is another point. But now that he is on record stating what at least one of the problems is then the public can assume he will fix those problems. If they don't get fixed then Manny won't have any cover for the **** show.

We on the same page, bruh.👍🏻

A lack of effort means this team is completely leaderless. There are no dogs in our senior leadership to bust anyone's balls. Hill has it in him and he was groomed somewhere else for four years...

BRUH WTF IS GOING ON IN CORAL GABLES

You say that as if this team wasn't 7-9 in their last 16 games before this season started.

Ever since Pitt punched that 2017 in the mouth, Miami hasn't responded. All that noise during a 10-0 start—faux hype and swag fueled by last-minute wins.

Welcome to a culture that has been broken for a long time. Is it really a shock, based on recent history, that guys are checking out at 0-2?

Has this literally not been the modus operandi of this entire football program dating back to 2005?

Fifth head coach in 14 seasons. Something like a 99-73 record since Coker's last game. 1-of-15 in the Coastal. No ACC titles.

Canes have been a hot mess for almost a decade and a half—yet some are shocked by this behavior? THAT is what I don't get; those who can't accept how long and far this fall from grace has been.

Exactly.

When you don't have the proper depth and the right players growing up proper, you're gonna see some shell-shocked kids when a Redwine, Jackson and J Johnson move on.

As alpha as Quarterman tries to come off, he doesn't have that Jon Beason dog in him—and Pinckney seems more concerned with flossing on Instagram stories and his high-priced outfits, more than he does being a leader on Saturdays.

Catch 22; you need to win with the guys you have to attract better all around guys—but how do you win with the guys you have when they've been part of a .500 culture pretty much their entire careers with the program.

Still think it's 100% the coaching staff?. Richt had a country club mentality around the program and a lot of these kids just haven't bought in to the idea that you actually have to show up to practice and work.

But didn't we hear during the offseason from diaz that the guys were going hard, giving all kinds of effort, taking accountability, showing up to voluntary workouts etc.? What happened between then and now
