I'm a fan of El Jefe Diaz & hoped he stayed in Miami for awhile before moving on, but I don't blame him for 1 sec for getting away from Rix even if it's at a sh*t gig like Temple.

With the said, my issue is Richt now has a new bevy of excuses for 2019, 2020 & beyond as to why we'll continue to lose games we shouldn't. The "we have a new DC!" excuse will be the scapegoat around here for a long time.

He'll probably elevate Jess to DC, but if Banda & Patke are going with Diaz he's gotta bring in a DL, Safety & LB coach are you confident he'll hit homeruns at that? Or are we about to get overloaded with HS coaches in Georgia on our staff now?

I know there's some hyperbole here, but highly doubt we're bringing in HS coaches to fill the LB and S spots.

I don't feel we need a to get a safety coach. Rumph should be able to handle the duties there.

I agree. Bash Richt all you want but he's batting .1000 on his last few DC hires.

.1000 is not a very good batting average.

I just hope it doesn't affect recruiting much, which has been a dumpster fire as of late.
