Diaz names Perry starter for GT, sticks with Williams long-term

The offense put up 5.1 yards per play, 52plays and 265 total yards. All are atrocious but some of you act like kosi did something amazing. If JW would of lead the offense to that kind of game most y’all would be destroying him, but since the new guy did it he’s the savior.

I honestly don’t care who starts and get kosi getting the nod but some of you guys are straight tripping. JW played one bad quarter and y’all wanted him buried , the coach saw him soundly beat the other guys out so I don’t blame him for wanting to stick with the guy he thinks is better.

But the uva game was nowhere near enough to say the job is all kosi’s. If he plays well multiple games then that’s a different story.

Not to mention he was probably playing with a bum shoulder. People think there's been some major change in Perry. IDK. I didn't see that last week. Perry's game always revolved around scrambling It's what he does.

Georgia Tech will tell us next to nothing. They are just another Bethune Cookman, for all intents and purposes.

This purported undying commitment to Jarren as the starter is really stupid. It’s not like Jarren is a two year starter and Heisman candidate who got dinged up. The dude started a few games and was ok. He’s done nothing to cement himself as “our guy.”

As long as Perry continues to do well and win and be someone the team responds to then he should be the starter. If he shyts the bed then yank him. If these guys are so fragile that they go in the tank when they’re playing like **** and get yanked then they’re garbage anyway.

Play well and stay in. If you get hurt and the other guy plays well then too bad. If you play like **** then the other guy gets a chance. These dudes are acting like Jarren is fcking Joe Montana.
I agree. If he was a two or three year starter with a high draft grade along with several accolades like all ACC then it makes sense for a coach to say QB X is our guy.

To say that for a QB with a few starts that were pretty average and nothing special is just silly.

The Pitt game is key to the season imo...

We'll obviously beat GTech, if we fck around & have a close game vs GTech then no question they'll start Jarren vs Pitt, but if we blow GTech out like we're supposed to, then he'll have a real conundrum on his hands.

The Narduzzi lives to ruin teams seasons, that's his whole m/o as a Coach, his only goal is to fck up your season. Our season is already fcked up as is, but we still have to beat Pitt if we plan on doing anything, that game is actually the most important game we have left (until we play Duke on the road).

If Jarren starts vs Pitt & comes out sluggish on the road, does Diaz/Enos pull him, or do they stick with him? Are they gonna do whatever they can to win that game, or are they gonna be okay with a Loss as long as it's a L with "their guy"?

A lot will be riding on that game... We're gonna see what this staff is really made of (even more than we already have lol) in these next coming games (@ Pitt, @ FSU, LVille & @ Duke) to finish out the season.

Liberty City,

How much of this is motivation of a player that needs a fire under his *** (Perry) vs him feeling that its Jarren no matter how Perry plays. I think this is mind games to be honest. Make Perry work for it by staying focused and driving forward.

I just have a hard time believing if Perry kills it in the GTech game he won't be given the nod in the Pitt game. Plane and simple you go with your winning hand. I just cannot imagine Diaz would do that...but then again I never understood why Al put his job on the line for D'Onofrio - that was beyond scratch head and to moved to *** bath house pictures/blackmail type decision.

Why see what we all have seen again, Williams is a jag.
Brock get on the perry train man, your boy sucks

That's some funny **** right there.
So...

Jarren is "their guy"
But Nkosi is qb1

And Jarren and Tate are both qb2.

And if Jarren and Tate are both qb2, then Tate is just as good as jarren.

If Jarren is qb2 and their guy, why is Tate not their guy?

Does Diaz know how absurd he sounds?

Maybe he feels like sitting the bench has made Nkosi hungrier and more focused. They both need to get better
“I think Jarrens our guy” :haha-smiley:

Some serious panty wads going on round here. Why is it do hard to understand that Diaz aint giving either of these dudes anything. Neither are "finished products" and Nkosi better not rest. He needs to stay hungry and prove his better. Like thats some crazy thing for a coach to do to QBs he knows needs to get better. Seems pretty obvious to me. They need to know it aint their job unless they're working harder than they ever have before.

Your credibility is destroyed with every Kosi fan boy post like this one. Who did all the work on every scoring drive we had against UVA?

DJ took a screen pass from Perry and housed it drive one.
Brevin takes screen pass for 40 yards to the 4 before Perry overthrows Osborn and we settle for a FG.
DJ had two tough runs for 25 yards to the 3 on final TD drive.

The problem with you is you only see deficiences in one QB and positives in the other, with zero sense of objectivity.

Grow up uncle Krazy, your nephew Kosi has just as many flaws as Jarren, if not more.

Lol NKosi isn’t perfect, he’s just 10 times better than Jarren Williams. The problem with you is you’re comparing a pathetic game against Bethune Cookman to NKosi making winning plays against UVa.

On the 1st drive a 4th and 7... NKosi runs for 10 yards for the 1st down. Jarren Williams it’s an automatic turnover especially against UVas defense, I’m sure it would’ve been an interception or a sack fumbled to go with it.

NKosi pass to KJ Osborn for 27 yards on the 1st drive.

NKosi pass complete to Brevin for 13 yards on the 1st drive,

NKosi pass to Jeff Thomas for 10 yards on the 1st drive... all of these big plays to move the ball up the field on one drive....

show me where Jarren did that the entire half against Bethune Cookman??

Pitt has a very good defense & they'll be getting back 2 defensive players that have been out until this week.

If I know them All Carolina Conference Hillbillies, there is absolutely no way Miami will be leaving Durham with a win. The penalty discrepancy will be ridiculously in favor of the 💩💩💩.

Throwing 3 interceptions in very short time, deflating the crowd and putting the defense in a huge hole to climb out of....................is simply "played one bad quarter". Ooooki. So what do you think if we didn't have a viable option for a backup QB and he continued to play the rest of the game? I bet he would have bad 4 quarters. He was saved by the bell.
If he really had a bad shoulder, why didn't he say something instead of letting the whole team down?

Look, I don't care who starts. I just want to win. But the way he handled it was horrible.

Dawg pass me whatever you smoking Perry didn’t exactly light up the score board vs VA ..Jarren was playing hurt due to that weak *** oLine that’s why he threw those picks I’ll take a healthy Jarren all day

Jarren put Miami in a 14-0 whole because at the time Jarren threw his 3rd int it was just 7-0 va tech. That’s not some huge hole to climb out of but it’s definitely something. As much as Jarren played terrible in those 3 drives the defense was just as bad or even worse with the 6 redzone trips but allowing 6 tds (42 points) you could have made them settle for a field goal or something down there but no we allowed a td every drive. Miami in recent years have been known to play injured players while hurt so I’m not surprised by it at all. Dsddcane had been mentioning he had a hurt shoulder for weeks and anyone clearly could see it when that cmu dt bellyflopped on him at his own endzone and his arm was just hanging

Somebody show me one picture of Jarren wincing in pain after throwing the football this season.

So its one giant conspiracy between former players, players, media members, and the medical staff that he dislocated his shoulder against UF and reinjured it against CMU? You really are a dip****.

Do you cuck *** ****boys behind a computer get off on bashing kids playing a sport 90% of you never even played in high school???

Regardless if its Perry, Tate or William's bashing, the **** is immature and childish and shows a lot about your character. Especially bashing a ******* kid. That's that loser *** beta mentality

Lol oh now it was against Florida ... only a fool as a HC and OC would play an injured player that can’t perform on the field...nobody is looking at Jarren Williams like he is Deshaun Watson and cant be replaced no matter how impressed they were with his talent.

if a QBs throwing shoulder is injured they wouldn’t be able to throw without showing they’re hurt. Jarren wanted to keep starting, he practiced each week leading up to the games and said he was ready to play every week he was out there.

Nobody to blame but Jarren so if he really was Injured then the topic of discussion should be why he would selfishly decide to keep playing at the expense of losing games knowing he was injured? 🤔

This situation could remind us of a poor teams "JT Barrett vs Cardale Jones" conundrum when Jones won the title but Barrett was the QB and Urban had to manage that thing. Basically rode with whoever was winning him games. I think Jones at the end ended up being the full time starter that year and after he left for the NFL, Barrett took over the next year. I just remember Urban doing a pretty great job at managing that QB debate.

Diaz will have to do the same here. As long as Perry keeps winning, you can't take him out. Jarren can heal up and get 100% and wait until his number is called. That is all he can do. Perry isn't so great that he won't pull some BS either and then we have to go back to Jarren.

A kid, he is 20 years old, stop coddling the baby
lets give him a participation trophy for practice, that very alpha like
How about the time he cried and wanted to take his ball and go home.

I wish him the best of luck and success backing up Kosi for the next 2 1/2 years.
Maybe he gets better nd can start in 2022
