Yeah DJ Dallas scored 3 of the TDs In the first half bc Jarren was slowing up the passing game like usual.... he couldn’t throw a TD until the end of the half. The other two TDs was a screen that Mike Harley did all the work to score and a 1 yard TD to Larry Hodges.

Perry looked 10x better that game leading all 3 of his drives to TDs, it was BCU and while Williams looked like trash for 20, no one noticed how smooth Kosi looked and what was to come

Thomas dropping that pass that would have been 27-17 with 9 minutes left vs uf and the obvious 4th and 17 given up by the defense right after Williams led a td drive. In addition to that the missed kicks in those 2 games. If Diaz was calling the defense this whole season Miami would easily be 6-0 regardless of qb.

he played better before coaches had game film on him, he has gotten worse each game since.

Right now I think Kosi gives us our best shot to win due to better running pocket presence and long ball. If he plays soundly against GT he keeps starting.

JW would be preferable behind a better OL. Each QB is a better fit in a different system. I guarantee Mike Leach would start JW over Perry, but I think Urban Meyer would start Perry over JW (Meyer wants a QB who can improvise). Lincoln Riley probably starts JW. Chip Kelly probably goes with Perry. No need to dump on either QB. I think both are P5 starting quality. Miami has no real offensive identity because the OL play is so poor (looking at you, Butch Barry). You have to assume a play is going to break down- someone will miss a key block. So the QB who can improvise gives you the better chance of winning. For this team, it's Perry.

All of the coaches u named run the “spread coast” and they all would prefer J Dub. Perry would get the nod in a more vertical passing attack like what Briles runs or Dino up at Syracuse and Gus at Auburn. That veer and shoot offense that Briles runs is perfect for Miami even when we have average oline play like we’ve had the past decade. It’s a run heavy scheme that likes to take deep shots. Perry would thrive.

edit: just to add, after watching the Virginia game, Perry looks like the better QB compared to J Dub at this stage in their career. He’s greatly improved his pocket presence and his mobility is what separates him from the pack. His potential really showed last week.

You want to evaluate QBs? Look at 2 things: how is he in red zone and how is he on 3rd downs. JW hadn't been good on those key measures. Hence ' is now QB1.

I honestly don’t care who starts and get kosi getting the nod but some of you guys are straight tripping. JW played one bad quarter and y’all wanted him buried , the coach saw him soundly beat the other guys out so I don’t blame him for wanting to stick with the guy he thinks is better.

But the uva game was nowhere near enough to say the job is all kosi’s. If he plays well multiple games then that’s a different story.

Ironically we won a power five game when the defense played like a manny Diaz defense. They allowed nine points for Christ sakes. You allow none points you better win every game , no matter the qb.

Your credibility is destroyed with every Kosi fan boy post like this one. Who did all the work on every scoring drive we had against UVA?

DJ took a screen pass from Perry and housed it drive one.
Brevin takes screen pass for 40 yards to the 4 before Perry overthrows Osborn and we settle for a FG.
DJ had two tough runs for 25 yards to the 3 on final TD drive.

The problem with you is you only see deficiences in one QB and positives in the other, with zero sense of objectivity.
