Diaz has 2 more years left.

Facts. But, he wont last 3 years imo. Rebuild wasnt a word he could use, he screwed himself, he wasnt hired for a rebuild, these admin chumps really thought he'd come in and have some success. I dont think they'll be patient with him when they didnt think Miami needed a rebuild.
I.am seeing the media is having a field day with this rebuild shít.
He wasn't saying rebuild in the offseason....

**** him.

He needs the time that other coaches weren't given. Five to six years is a good about of time to determine if the coach is going to be successful. Manny is a new coach so year one bumps are to be expected.
You gotta be trolling.

I think Shannys leash is shorter than most say it is. It is so obvious that he is clueless. Blake is a dead man walking and so is Diaz.

The higher ups know that FSU will be looking after this year along with USC and possibly Michigan and Tennessee. We cant mess around and let any of those schools have first dibs on big name coaches.

We have put ourselves in a spot where we have to spend a ton of money, go into a ton of debt, and hire a guy who can get that money back fast.

Winning is the only solution. Diaz will never win here.
Nah, they will sit this one out and wait for the next round of schools who will be looking.
You don’t make decisions based on other schools needs. You look at what you have and decide what Miami needs.

Blake extended Golden after going 6-6.
He gave him a 5th year after going 7-6.
He wasn't prepared to fire Richt last season when it was obvious he flamed out.

No way he fires Manny before the end of his forth year when it was his decision to pay Temple his buyout. Only a new AD will fire him quickly to pick his guy. Blake NEEDS to go and thats where all attention should be faced.
1000X this

That’s way it’s imperative to not go to games and just flat out boycott anything related with the football program, hurt their pockets and put more pressure on Flake

If Richt had not retired, this would be year 4 for him. There is ZERO chance Richt would say it was a rebuilding year. What an indictment that would have been- a coach of Richts caliber in his 4th year whining that it was a rebuilding year. Manny has the same staff on defense, the same players he recruited, and runs the same offense. This is the team he helped build. How can it suddenly be rebuilding? What a crock of ****.

the dog read this and he said that it would be a good idea from now on for people to be cleared by the concussion protocol before posting.

There is absolutely no way when Blake James/BOT idiotically took 8 hours to decide to give Manny the job did they have "rebuild" in mind. I think like most they probably felt he would make the proper changes to the offense (he hasn't) and continue the success on defense (he hasn't).

I bet more then anything the last person who wanted to hear a coach who had complete control of the defense/defensive recruiting the last 4 years here talk about how they need to rebuild. Especially the way Diaz came in guns blazing talking about how we need to "live up to a standard" (something he knows nothing about).

Diaz is out of answers and he does not have the experience to fall back on. Who is he going to look to? Dan Enos? A failure of a head coach who had every reason to break CMU nose in and only came up with only 17 points.
Give Manny two more years, I want Blake to look like an idiot for hiring Manny in his own. Manny better start all over again and hire a real staff that can recruit.

**** ur brave to say that here. But 5 to 6 years?? That’s a bit much. I think Diaz could’ve been given minimum 3 years, but is now down to 2. He’s approaching Willie Taggart territory. I think there’s a lot out of his control and that he thought he would fix and then as the season started it has just snowballed. He’s at a loss right now and I think even he couldn’t expect Baxa or even Ivey to be so awful. The O Line has been disastrous for a while now. If this team can somehow finish with 6 wins and turn in a 9 (8?) win season next year he’ll have a shot to save his job.

I really dont think that word should have left his mouth. The BoT did not sign off on a rebuild, and I think (hope) there are still some trustees that care. Lets see if he backtracks that statement over the next few days, thats how you'll know if word came down from higher up. 🤷‍♂️

Manny doesn’t see season 3 without changes. Manny has no leverage and he hasn’t proven anything to have leverage. The AD and BOT will give him ultimatums. First time HC don’t get huge buyout.

james already gave him the leverage, and if any first time hc has a large buyout, it’s one Miami hires. Realistically, the buyout would be 50-75% of his contract

Are you serious?? The guy is a clown who is a terrible recruiter and should never have gotten the job.

I'm not saying we need to offer a contract extension, just that he needs time to make adjustments. There is a reason why Blake selected Manny (with BOT approval) without interviewing anyone else. We may not understand that reason now, but we need to let it play out.

BOT approval? No sir there was a guy in Oregon who had the job didn't have to interview for the job, and BOT wanted him. Blake did not want him and pulled a fast one to hire Manny.
