Diaz has 2 more years left.

He needs the time that other coaches weren't given. Five to six years is a good about of time to determine if the coach is going to be successful. Manny is a new coach so year one bumps are to be expected.
I joke, but you're definitely a Georgia troll.

Nah, can his *** in year one. I want to see the circus of firing a coach after putting up an abysmal record in year one.

hypothetically, if Manny was show the door this afternoon, who can handle this team?? nobody qualified on this staff, correct?

Facts. But, he wont last 3 years imo. Rebuild wasnt a word he could use, he screwed himself, he wasnt hired for a rebuild, these admin chumps really thought he'd come in and have some success. I dont think they'll be patient with him when they didnt think Miami needed a rebuild.

This. It was the exact reason why Blake James going out and hiring Diaz, because he was already familiar with the team, area, and his side of the ball was successful. And Diaz himself said this team had potential for the playoffs. Now that the season hasn't gone anywhere near what he thought it would, he's changed his tune. That "This is a rebuild" quote was his death knell at Miami.

It's clear that you're just a Diaz fan.

It was clearly a Larry Coker-like hire, they literally thought this was a case of just fix the offense and we will be on our way. Manny does not have the toolkit to fix this as he has never been a head coach. The BOT created a no-win situation for everyone, THE BOT IS OUR ENEMY, not Manny Diaz! Anyone would accept their dream job if offered, it is up to the adults in the room to make the right choices, unfortunately our BOT is bereft of adults!

As an App State grad, I can vouch for Satterfield at Louisville. He would kill it in Miami. Btw, Louisville is a rebuild job in case Shanny needs a reference.

Look what he’s done so far? Took a beat down from Clemson yesterday but that was expected. Satterfield can easily finish at 7-5 which would be quite an accomplishment considering how bad Louisville was last season.

Blake extended Golden after going 6-6.
He gave him a 5th year after going 7-6.
He wasn't prepared to fire Richt last season when it was obvious he flamed out.

No way he fires Manny before the end of his forth year when it was his decision to pay Temple his buyout. Only a new AD will fire him quickly to pick his guy. Blake NEEDS to go and thats where all attention should be faced.

He was my choice.

Offensive minded
Never been fired
Head coaching experience
Proven he can dominate peer opponents and compete with superiorly athletic teams
His alma mater is App State, so Miami could possibly be a destination job if he had the success.
Top 15 on BOTH sides of the ball.
Extremely impressive but we look more at things like "Miami Fit", "Great Recruiter" or someone already on staff.

Agree 100%. Blake James has dropped the ball with this historic football program. His incompetence in the athletic department he led to Miami going from a power in college football what we see every Saturday. Hiring a coach in Diaz after eight hours and paying a buyout is absolutely ridiculous. How do you not have a pulse on richts possible retirement? Miami is suppose to be a strong program and we have some of the weakest people running our athletic department.

With that said Blake needs to be fired at the end of this year and manny needs to be given one more year under a new athletic director. If he doesn’t perform the new AD will bring in his preferred coach. We need to put pressure on the higher ups to make this change with banners, billboards, commercials, letters from alumni and season ticket holders. We need to cut off root of the problem in Blake James and hopefully success will follow with the next hire.

There is absolutely no way when Blake James/BOT idiotically took 8 hours to decide to give Manny the job did they have "rebuild" in mind. I think like most they probably felt he would make the proper changes to the offense (he hasn't) and continue the success on defense (he hasn't).

It only makes as to why they made an in house hire. It should have been a pretty smooth transition. Manny made considerable improvements to this defense and made it respectful again. We could rely on the defense to keep us in game while the offense came around, but even the defense has regressed right now. Manny is in over his head or he doesn't know how to pick assistant. It makes no sense for us to be rebuilding, especially on defense.

Manny doesn’t see season 3 without changes. Manny has no leverage and he hasn’t proven anything to have leverage. The AD and BOT will give him ultimatums. First time HC don’t get huge buyout.
