I'm not sure if there's offset language in his contract, but UH owes Major ~$2 million dollars over the next 3 years.
So Miami may not have to pay as much as you think. UH's obligation to Major may also be influencing his role/title on the staff.

Not necessarily true coaches time is restricted more now than it was back 20 yrs ago.they don't have unlimited time to spend with the players now a days .ask any of the old timers that played back then.workouts and practices were a lot harder they would say we couldn't wait for the season to start.because it was easier than the off-season.
