Alabama landed #2 TE in the nation sunday evening

Hale Hentages is no way better then Devonaire Clarington so i take this as a Win for Miami, Miami should go on a full scale strike on his and lock his commitment up as fast as possibe. Clarington and Archibald with be a nightmare situation for opposing defenses.

247's Ryan Bartow didn't seem to think so earlier this week...

Don't shoot the messenger, but here's what he said:

- Miami isn't a factor for Clarington (or anyone at Champagnat Catholic).
- Once Clarington visits LSU this summer I feel they will be in more of a driver's seat in this recruitment.
- LSU feels good about its standing with Clarington, per my contacts.

It would be interesting to hear if any staff members on this board have heard differently. Jaason Lewis is an appealing alternative as a potential move TE who could create mismatches with his athleticism.

Why would UM not recruit him, what are they thinking?

That's not what Bartow meant when he said we aren't a factor in his recruitment. We're apparently going after him hard based on what's been reported here over the past several weeks. But Bartow, who may end up being wrong, doesn't believe we have a realistic shot at landing him or anyone from Champagnat.

i dont really like anyone from Champagnat this year just Clarington, if we get him he can recruit players from next year class.

Are we after anybody else from there?

And off topic....but ******* Alabama....****. Might as well have their own HS All Star game.

All of this about Champagnat and LSU made me laugh out loud :ibisroflmao:

Look at where kids from Champagnat have gone to college the last few years.

Clarington isnt going to Miami. Forget about him.

I don't believe there's anyone else from Champagnat who's a priority for this cycle, but they have a few 2016 recruits we've already offered who are highly regarded.

Darnell Solomon

T Chidi Okeke-Valentine

QB Kato Nelson (no offer yet, but he's been mentioned a bit on these boards as an intriguing talent)

Yes, I recall seeing Salomon on Blusteins top 50 list. Number 5. Would be nice to get someone from that **** school.

Clarington, Salomon and Okeke will be at UM June 1st camp. Coach Scott is doing a great job recruiting Champagnat.

Western Kentucky, NC Central, Louisville x2, West Virginia, LSU, Akron, and Cincinnati is where kids from Champagnat have gone the last few cycles.

The academics at Champagnat do not match up well with Miami.

Some schools want Devonaire Clarington as a defensive end instead of a Tight End. LSU would probably play him on the defensive line if he ends up there.

@Thread Killa, basketball player Tonye Jekiri attended Champagnat and now attends UM.

Are there any agenda having corches on the basketball team or is that only on the football team?

Let me know when a Champagnat football player enrolls at Miami or at least another FL school.
