This may violate my 8th amendment rights. Will consult

Not getting a single meaningful starter from 2022 or 2023…that’s how you get in position to buy a secondary in the portal in 2025
DB Recruiting was also propping up our class rating somehow for several years prior to Mario and at the beginning of his tenure.

Happy to see that changing also.

LB is starting to resemble our secondary recruiting. Very frustrating to me. DT is not too far behind but I expect that to change dramatically this class.

LB recruiting has actually been pretty good, scheme and development can be questionable but recruiting has been good.

2022 - 2024 LB Recruiting
Wesley Bissainthe #188 overall #18 LB (starter)
Popo Aguirre #204 overall #22 LB (still on roster, expected to be in the 2 deep)
Bobby Washington #433 overall #37 LB (injured still on roster)
Marcellius Pulliam #760 overall #64 LB (portal)
Adarius Hayes #123 overall #8 LB (still on roster)
Cam Pruitt #490 overall #45 S (still on the roster, expected to have a role in the defense)

So of the 6 LB’s recruited 1 (Marcellius Pulliam) hit the portal, 1(Bobby Washington) was getting buzz to get a bump in playing time before suffered a season ending injury, 3 (Wesley Bissainthe, Popo Aguirre, and Cam Pruitt) are expected to have significant roles on this upcoming defense and the other (Adarius Hayes) was a true freshman last season who made a few plays on special teams.

Respectfully, I’m not buying what you’re selling but I don’t want to derail the thread any further.

We got one with Wiley

Not really fair to expect a lot out of him this year but also wouldn’t be surprised either

Just Googled our illustrious transfers:
* Graves was a rotational player last season at Ole Miss, played in all games and had 15 tackles.
* Rogers had no starts and 1 tackle at Mississippi State and transferred to Jackson State this off-season.
* Stafford's at UCLA now.
* Spencer started 1 game for Va Tech, played in all games and had 32 tackles.
* Harris is at Georgia now, lol, (Exhibit 1 on the fact UGA is no longer the dominant football team it was a couple years ago)
* Freeney was a backup at Arizona, played 9 games and had 7 tackles before transferring again to Boise State.
* Patterson going to Oklahoma State of all places

They all ended up at P4 schools. But they've all been JAGs so far, with only Spencer and Graves having a shot to start this season. And Rogers and Freeney have since re-transferred to G5 and FCS schools, respectively. Good times.

I think Spencer had 30 tackles against us so that makes 2 for the rest of the year
