FIRE EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!! INCLUDING THE PLAYERS!!!!!!
I love guys who offer up problems and not real solutions, everybody says "Fire Golden" then what? hire who?
There are plenty of coaches UM could hire that are affordable and would actually bring a coaching dynamic to the table.
Golden is referenced as a defensive-minded head coach (which is ironic because, historically, most of his defenses have been merely average), but fields the worst defenses in school history. What does he bring? Is he a great recruiter? No. Does he hire hot-shot coordinators and coaches to make up for his shortcomings as a head coach? No. Can UM even afford to hire big-time coaches and coordinators? No.
Miami needs a coach who provides a coaching element with its budget. Golden doesn't. He's a politician, not a coach.
At this point, roll the dice on other candidates. Chud, Chad Morris, Pat Narduzzi.
Three years into his tenure and the same concerns voiced in year one still linger. That's not the cloud, it's not handlers pushing recruits away from Miami, it's not Randy's players - it's ****** coaching.
Dude needs to go.
Are yall talking about the game against Maryland when all of those players was suspended?
when we struggled with a 2-8 Maryland team I knew he wasn't cut out to be our next head coach.

This guy took over a program in late 2010 that was in complete shambles. He had two months to scrape together his first recruiting class, got blindsided by a three year long NCAA investigation of biblical proportions, stuck with us anyway when he easily could have left (and completely ****ed us) without any damage to his name, pulled in talented recruiting classes while handling the investigation & sanctions, and despite all that, he has won more games and lost fewer games every single year.

Yes, the defense has sucked. Yes, we missed on big time recruits. Yes, our stadium is empty. But the only thing that matters is wins and losses, and Golden hasn't failed us yet.
I'm excited to see what he can do now that he is free from the NCAA and has finally had some time to build a team with the players he recruited. Give me double digit wins this year and I'm happy.
If anybody else has videos like this plz post !!!!!!This is what it's supposed to look like for those that either never knew or don't remember correctly.

When one looks at our performances over the past few years, when one hopes for a less retarded defensive approach and the HC states he wants 'continuity,' when one looks at wins and loses while factoring in strength of schedule, and when one sees an absolute lack of in-game adjustment, and almost identical performances in Golden's Maryland game and the Louisville game, why in Hades do some of you not realize, we got a real coaching problem?
Are you so desperate for improvement, that you're willing to fabricate a mind-set that will ignore the obvious, and somehow conjure up bizarre arguments designed to perpetuate the fraud being conducted by our HC, DC, and yes, even our OC who hasn't shown anyone crap? Yet?
You watch a Spring game and somehow distill out all this wisdom on who's going to be great and who's not. Some go as far as touting one freshman after another who are going to save the season - almost all by himself.
I remember stopping by and watching Schnellenberger running everyone's *** into the ground. ****, Kehoe was out there somewhere. So don't think I haven't seen it from the beginning. I'm damned tired of Shalala and her half-assed coaching selections going back over a decade. Three-in-a-row isn't fate, it's stupidity.
I don't wear rose-colored glasses. We need a coaching change, and not by Shalala. She needs to go first.

Love the 6, 7, and 9-win argument. Look at our strength of schedule over those years. Relative to who we played last season, 9 wins is an absolute failure, particularly considering we didn't win the Coastal. You say he hasn't failed us yet. He sure did last season.
Perspective? Here's some perspective: 1-12 against teams with 5 or more wins, getting blown out by FSU three years in a row, and humiliating losses 2-10 Maryland, 4-8 Boston College, and 4-8 Virginia. Oh, and not to mention looking completely un-prepared and flat in his only bowl game.
Because we haven't shown any improvement over the years, it leads me to believe we'll never reach the upper echelon of College Football under this guy. But for cheerleaders like yourself, who consider beating Duke and winning the unbelievably ****** ACC Coastal a success, I guess that's OK.

We go 12-0, we get a shot at a national title. Simple as that. **** strength of schedule.
But I'll dig into the weeds a little more than that, for the sake of other posters reading this.
Last year we beat FAU (6-6), UF (4-8), Savannah State (1-11), USF (2-10), GT (7-6), UNC (7-6), WF (4-8), UVA (2-10), and Pitt (7-6).
So while you say Golden is "1-12 against teams with 5 or more wins," just last year we beat 4 teams with 6+ wins and a top 10 Florida team that then got killed by injuries. Get your facts straight.
Aside from FSU, who, and I hate to say this, is clearly a better team than us right now, let's take a look at your "humiliating losses":
2-10 Maryland: The first game Golden ever coached here. Half our team was suspended. The remaining half wasn't Golden's team.
4-8 Boston College: Happened in Golden's first year, so it wasn't his team. Also happened 5 days after we announced that we weren't playing in a bowl game due to the NCAA scandal. That may have disheartened the team just a little bit.
4-8 Virginia: Lost in the last second 41-40. A legitimate difficult loss, our defense played like crap (as usual).
Yes, Louisville was a horrible loss, but you have to give them credit. That team is solid and led by one of the best quarterbacks, if not the best quarterback, in the nation. A top ten draft pick. We were missing our best player (by far).
I didn't really want to get into the weeds though.
You need to understand how overall win-loss records work. If our win-loss record improves season to season, these humiliating losses stop happening because we lose less games.
I'll ask you one simple question:
If we go 10-3, 11-2, 12-1, or 13-0 next year, are you going to be upset?

Pardon the typo on my end: You are correct. That was supposed to read 1-12 against teams with 8+ wins (still, IMO, a big problem considering our schedule and talent level).
I'm done arguing over the many bad losses under this guy. Apologists will claim they weren't his players, he had to recruit under the cloud, etc.
I see a coach with a scheme that doesn't fits its personnel (even with "his" players), a coach who refuses to make the necessary changes, and a coach that doesn't posses the ability to make in-game adjustments. Those are coaching problems. And given how evident they've been over 3 years, why think everything will suddenly change?
It's because of those reasons your question is irrelevant in my eyes. A 10+ win season would be great. Not betting the house on it though, 7 or 8 wins tops.
What we have on this board is two extremes coming together on the same subject. That's why you see the sh1tty threads day in and day out.
You have the die-hard rah-rah bunch who see little to no wrong being done by the coaching staff at all. Golden keeps NoDFrio around after all of those 500+ yard games we gave up? No big deal--we don't need to change, we need more continuity, and this is the same scheme NFL teams run, so it has to work eventually.
Then you have the doom & gloom, constant bytching bunch who can see nothing but the worst in each situation when it comes to Golden. Golden signs some stud defensive recruits for the 2014 class? Well, fvck him--he should have signed more, and regardless, NoDFrio will run Golden's defense, and they'll all go from 5*'s to sucking in no time under this staff.
One group has their heads in the sand, believing it will be OK. The other has pitchforks and torches at the ready to storm the Hecht yesterday.
You throw those groups together...you get epic slapfights that go nowhere towards actually affecting any change. Just continual bytching by both sides about the other. Paralysis by analysis. And sh1tty thread after sh1tty thread.
