Unfortunately On3's valuations are just made up and have no bearing on the actual contracts that these guys are getting in real life.
Made up sure, but so are their recruit ratings lol. So how did they make them up? Are they assigning a value on them based on how their perceived/analyze their value? That's my point. If they rank a guy a 91 overall with a $100k value vs a different guy 90.8 overall with $150k value, which is the more valuable recruit when it comes to analyzing who has the better class? That's what I'm saying.

No it doesn't. That is you being nonsensical. We can't outbid certain schools. We also dont have the funds to land everyone we want. That doesn't mean the school has nothing. You are making baseless claims about us being able to outspend when none of the facts agree.
Disagree, you’re the one who’s speaking nonsensical because you clearly have no clue of Miami’s NIL program. If we want to recruit, and it takes top dollar to get them, we will have the highest offer on the floor. I guess you think Cantwell was cheap, now will we put the top offer on the floor for every recruit, no we won’t but if we want someone, we will. The broke narrative or we can’t afford a recruit narrative is pure BS. If you wanna live in that world, by all means have at it but it’s not reality.

Texas dropped major bags to get the number one linebacker in the country and the number one defensive lineman in the country from UGA You're kidding yourself If they're not offering more money than Miami for Cooper
And we dropped major bags to get the number one f🙌cking recruit in America! I guess you’re agenda forgot that huh?

Good luck on your journey!

Our high school “recruiting struggles ” aren’t from a lack of funds- we have one of the best NIl collectives in college football. What’s keeping us from consistently out recruiting these top programs is our non-existent nfl development and bad on the field results

This is basically a question and the point I made earlier in the week.

A. Are we still "Flush with cash"…Or did Cantwell and Beck make too big of a dent?

B. If so, imo it's a little inexcusable…I would agree a big-time LT is probably top 5 important positions on a football field. But when you have Johnnie Jones types, and your area of expertise and coaching strength is OL development….Then this is poor allocation imo. Would he have paid that kinda money for Jalen Rivers? Because we had at worst a top 2-3 (probably the best) offense in the nation imo with a very good offensive tackle, but not the best by any means.

Even if we take Lamar Brown, James Johnson, and Keys types (I'm not sure Johnson is in that group, but Tex obviously just broke the bank for him) out of the equation...

Would you rather have

Cantwell/Air Biscuit at safety/No Cooper/Whiff on a DT to compliment what we have
or
One of Kolojay,J.Jones, etc(remember we already have Ervin in the room)/Cooper/1 of our top 4-5 safeties/

(MAYBE an additional DT like Stancil, N.Wilson, Cleveland etc…, but for now let's say either/or with the safety)

This is just a possible example. Not trying to act like I know every aspect of these recruitments and how much every single kid is going for. I've already stated that I think as long as an SEC "power" is in the ballpark with us, that the ACC is killing us and the kid will go SEC or even B10 every time. I just think it's a legit question, if indeed we "aren't flush with cash" …Were funds allocated properly?

Ya but in all fairness they are saying the opposite of what is usually said…They are saying UM may be short $ right now.
Maybe they finally realized how stupid it was to be putting out the info that Miami is paying everyone and decided to do the opposite.

This is Mario's 4th season. He had a chance to change the perception last season and he blew it. This is why I'm tired of seeing this as an excuse.
I said we've been bad to mediocre. We have.

How is being bad to mediocre an excuse?? It's the reality.
