Doesn't sound like a team ready to drop a giant bag for Cooper

I’m pretty sure multiple people said from day one that Gattis was a bad hire. It seems like it was an ego hire for Mario. The offense was bad prior to injuries . Really bad. The Gattis hire was atrocious and was the first domino in a bad year. In spring I posted the offense was having issues and the receivers couldn’t get separation. Lack of spacing and schematics had a big hand in that.
The irony of when he came, the theme was "speed in space". Anything but.The offense was bad prior to injuries . Really bad. The Gattis hire was atrocious and was the first domino in a bad year. I think if mario hires a lashlee or even a dawson type of coordinator year1 our entire trajectory as a program is differentThe offense was bad prior to injuries . Really bad. The hires were bad and didn’t really make sense. It was like a 13 year old version of me putting a staff together based on name recognition and not actual fit. Then it didn’t help that we brought in a bunch of meh via the portal. There was just utter mismanagement of the program but we had more money.I think if mario hires a lashlee or even a dawson type of coordinator year1 our entire trajectory as a program is different
He went with the rip the bandaid off approach and I think that was just wrong for a team that won 6 of their last 7(?) to end the season
And a bunch of those players ended up being important for us in the mario era and good at smu. Just needed to fill in the gaps and upgrade a few spots while you rebuild the culture
He missed on some better options and the Gattis was unhappy stuff got out in coaching ditches . So it was good timing and perception is I just took the Broyles winner from Michigan. Imo it was as much a PR hire than it was quality.I’m pretty sure multiple people said from day one that Gattis was a bad hire. It seems like it was an ego hire for Mario.
There's a Cway on every teams board.Looks like some CIS posters made their way to UGA and Texas boards.
Lost 2 of your top 3 RB's in fall camp before the season, and George was suspended to start season, then got hurt. The offense was bad prior to injuries . Really bad. You’re just moving the goalposts2022 had issues, but people love to forget that Miami had so many injuries on offense it wasn't even workable.
Played 3 QB's, had to play a walk on RB, Arroyo missed most of season, Restrepo and George missed signifigant time, and the OL was beat up.
When you're rolling Jacurri Brown ane Lucious Stanley on the field against FSU it's bad.
Mario is a good coach, and runs a top notch program. Miami is a bigger more physical team now, just more talented. Maybe they can put it all together and make the playoffs.
Best hireI’m pretty sure multiple people said from day one that Gattis was a bad hire. It seems like it was an ego hire for Mario.
I'm not moving anything, just stating facts my man. Gattis wasn't a great hire, but no OC would have had much success with what happened on that side of the ball. You’re just moving the goalposts
I’m saying what he did in 2022 from a recruiting class and coaching hiring perspective made it worse
I’m not even talking about the 2022 season on the field getting our *** beat by MTSU
No you’re stating your opinion and it has nothing to do with what I saidI'm not moving anything, just stating facts my man. Gattis wasn't a great hire, but no OC would have had much success with what happened on that side of the ball.
The defensive backfield was the most unusual situation with 4 NFL players yet couldn't limit explosives.
So what happened the year before?I'm not moving anything, just stating facts my man. Gattis wasn't a great hire, but no OC would have had much success with what happened on that side of the ball.

Texas arrogance. It’s a lot like Florida boosters (just diff levels of wealth). They feel it should be an honor to play for them whereas the oil boys in Lubbock and College Station are YOLOing the cash. You would think Texas is a top 5 team in recruiting due to their access to money.
Surprisingly they are mid af
