We had one of the top rushing attacks in the country lol Idgaf if we handed it up the middle to a FB everytime if we finish the game with 200 yards rushing im happy whatever the **** scheme, I care about results.
Context is everything. A lot easier to run up the middle and have success when your QB is Cam Ward who has the defense ****ting in their pants.

That isn’t happening in 2025.

What about when your QB is Tyler Van Dyke, who has the vision of his dad **** Van Dyke, or a true freshman named Emory Williams?

Because when those kids were under center, and the only people ****ting their pants were our own fans, we averaged 4.98 YPC, which was good for 20th in America.

Tape doesn't lie. Go back and watch Mario's previous HCing stops. He does pin and pull, runs outside. His run game is what they were killing it with the 1st 4 games of Van Dykes last season, when it completely changed after the bye. Last season, Carpenter wasn't athletic enough to pin and pull even if they wanted too. I hate inside zone, personally. The inside zone is what's typically run in a spread O. From Lashlee to Dawson, I have nightmares of inside zone.

It's Duo and inside zone. Last year was a shift in methodology but the source is the same. Mario and Mirabal orchestrate the run game. It was all about limiting negative runs.

Think of it like the Wake Forest run scheme but without the walk forward mesh with the qb. They are purposely not climbing up to backers to keep the RPO factor in play. They are focusing on winning the line scrimmage. Alot of this is coming from Jim McNally too.

We'll see about that, Ward definitely made things easier overall for the whole offense but his rushing attack was MID at wazzu, our Oline and Backs did a great job pushing the pile, opening holes, and breaking tackles, it wasnt all Ward.

In 2024, Miami was 31st in the nation averaging 189 yards per game at 4.8 YPA and 30 TD’s.

In 2023, Miami was 45th in the nation averaging 172 yards per game with 24 rushing TD’s.

2022 we were among the worst in the country.

Shout out to Cam.

2024 - 6th in Y/A, 31st in Y/G, 98th in A/G
2023 - 16th in Y/A, 45th In Y/G, 90th in A/G
2022 - 95th in Y/A, 95th in Y/G, 90th in A/G

Y/G is so much more tied to Attempts than running success over a season. Now you could argue keeping a high Y/A over more attempts is harder so in that sense Y/G isn't useless...

Just stop. Buddy left his meds at home today.

Bingo someone gets it. At times it looked like 3yds and cloud of dust. NO F’ING WAY. ITS DOING A DISSERVICE TO A GUY LIKE LYLE. Who has the ability to run in any scheme. Wouldnt it be better to give him some easy lanes to choose from?

On UGA landing Jared Curtis

Yep. This is exactly what I posted about in the Cantwell thread. UGA is selling the #1 QB narrative hard.

They're going all in on the top 2 RB. They'd take both Hiter and Cooper if they want in.

They're also about to land the #1 TE.

Those ****ers will probably have the #1 QB, TE, T and RB committed by the end of June.

Which is weird for UGA because their highest rated QBs don't ever end up playing for them.
