2026 Derrek Cooper 5* RB/ATH from Chaminade Commits to Texas

We have 2 Billionaires so yeah we're top 3 NIL.
People are really underestimating this. Boosters worth $20M can’t influence recruiting to the degree they used to. A one time $50k thing is not an issue for them. But those types of boosters can’t carry a roster year in year out. We’ve got guys paying Messi and our roster. It’s not the same stratosphere at all.

you don not need to know, oh and its more than 2
It’s so funny watching haters and other programs finally realize that Ruiz was just the front man that loves the camera and the limelight. He had no problem acting like the funds were all is, knowing **** well he wasn’t even making up 30% of the allocated money.

That's not that farfetched.

The majority of highly ranked players from South FL don't choose Miami, so it's not completely out of the question to think that when one does that NIL could serve as the tipping point.

That's not a bad thing either, that actually should be the reasoning. The more NIL becomes the narrative for why kids choose Miami, the more attractive we'll be.

If the goal is to get as many great players as possible, money can be the incentive that pushes us over the edge.

It should be embraced with open arms.
“You want to get paid, developed, and live in one of the best cities in the world”…

They just can’t say they took the L cause of relationships. All the NIL packages are probably about the same and bags at all the programs. Just say the relationship battle you lost it’s that simple.
They are also off on his family wanting him to leave FL for college. Everyone keeps saying his mom wants him at Miami so either they spoke to every family member but her or something is off there.

Oh brother, you have to love these numbers thrown around by other programs who legitimately have no clue what they speak of.

We are not overspending, we are simply OUTSPENDING our competition.

The reality is, UM does not only top 5 in NIL, but I would say we are at the very top of honoring our NIL deals. That is a huge component as quite a few big paying schools have had incidents not honoring deals.

I mentioned this when the whole saga started with the Cantwell recruitment and all the stories by the media started popping up about our spending. That was a collective effort by the big click schools + media to try and derail us. Nobody and I mean nobody wants Miami anywhere near back on top, they know what the ultimately means for their programs. They will continue to do this regularly and not let up.

Ultimately, they are dumb, because in a day and age where money is now #1, all they are doing is helping us. Thanks for letting everyone know are outspending you publicly.

There are no more discounts for the top programs. No more of the best simply going to the top 3 or 4 schools. You either play ball, or end up crying like we see with Ohio State, Georgia, etc. as they lose blue chip kids they are used to locking up cheap.
