2026 Derrek Cooper 5* RB/ATH from Chaminade Commits to Texas

You guys haven't been paying attention. Funny reading UGA now having moral victories by alleging we just pay more. Sounds familiar haha.

This one been over for a bit.
Before NIL was legal NOBODY (except TAMU) paid more for HS prospects than UGA.

They were the biggest under the table money program in CFB, even worse than Bama, Oh ST, LSU etc.. Nobody gave out more Brown paper bags full of cash than UGA.

Now in the NIL era, they're crying... Why?

BECAUSE THE PLAYING (NEGOTIATING) FIELD IS EVEN!

The narrative is kind of ironic. They mean it as an insult, but what they're telling recruits is, "Miami will take care of you and change the immediate future of your entire family."
Imagine Microsoft trying to steer prospective employees away from Apple by telling them their salaries and benefits are way too high

this reminds me of the quote from Ben Johnson's sprinting coach, Charlie Francis, on the reality of world-class track and field"

"It's a level playing field...just not the one you think it's on."

Let me take care of that for you, when the libtards vilified capitalism.
I always thought it was something else. Possibly the same reason since the 20s. Buy hey free market is

Who's to blame before them? Say what started way before that catchy name? Asking for a friend. Your scope is too narrow and not the real issue.

The latest on Derrek Cooper

Ohio State has wanted to add either Savion Hiter or Derrek Cooper to Favour Akih in this recruiting class. They hosted Cooper for an official visit over the weekend.

I'm told the visit, from a pure visit standpoint, went really well. Cooper and his family have long liked what the Buckeyes have to offer from a pure football and development standpoint, not to mention academics, support staff, culture, and so on.

There also has long been a thought that the preference for Cooper and those close to him was that he would leave home for college, meaning Georgia and OSU were in a more favorable position than Miami.

Where I'm not feeling so great about things right now, though, is that in speaking with sources I think this recruitment is going to become a NIL recruitment. And I don't see

Ohio State (or Georgia) being the top bidder in this recruitment, from what I am told.

Now, the Buckeyes and the Bulldogs both have "competitive offers" for a RB of Cooper's caliber at the high school ranks, but with what I am told the Hurricanes have in front of the Cooper camp, and with this becoming the factor in this race, I would pick The U as of now for the talented back.

A kid going somewhere he’s very interested in for a **** ton of cash. Almost like this is every single high profile recruitment for the last 25 years.

I don’t give one iota of one single **** about these kind of articles. Everyone knows taint paid a ridiculous amount of money for their roster last year. And they won a chip with it. I don’t see an asterisk next to it. Miami is finally trying to do the same. What’s awesome is these muppets don’t even realize this HELPS Miami, not besmirches it.

Pay everyone. Sign them. Win.
