Disagree with the not being able to run at all part. We not small and weak on the o-line like in years past. Not saying the run game would dominate but I believe they would be able to do something

Maybe but it will be typical sec LOS match where it would stalemate and favor the defense imo. But you could be right I just disagree.

I think we bully the **** out of Notre Dame

Cooper and Mauigoa were on some other **** last year against Florida and another year in S&C…

big ten had more teams in the top 25 run defense last year. The highest ranked run defense we played was cal at 14. Had the 3rd most yards vs them. 2nd highest ypc. And most rushing tds they gave up in a game. And that came with mostly throwing in the 2nd half

They play a ****** scheddy, I can never use stats as a barometer I rather use eye test. When you play top tier fronts from top tier teams usually the run game is taken away. Cal is *** and wouldn’t stop top tier teams from running on them. Like cmon lol

Bruh if we cook ND it changes the hopes I have for the season. But I always thought this season to be our best team with qb production down obviously. My complaint is beginning of what we are bringing in, and that will affect our growth the following years. I am always looking ahead. If we do not fix what’s going on in recruiting we are in deep sh starting next year and the following for sure.

I agree about the looking ahead part. OL goes from the strength of our team to possibly a question mark pretty quickly

That’s why we need this to work this year because we are gonna be back in the portal again (which isn’t necessarily bad)

The 2024 class has to produce. 2022 and 2023 were just not good enough

I’m not as down on 2025 as some but still we gotta see proof the recruiting is more than just rankings and it’s actually giving us NFL players

Agreed.

We are a Tier 2 program now which in and of itself is an achievement from where we had fallen. But there is still a massive gap between us and OSU, UGA, Texas and Bama.

And the reality is we will never be able to match the resources they have. It’s impossible, so those 4 teams in particular will always have a massive advantage over us - especially now that they have adjusted their NIL offering to meet and exceed ours.

We’ve GOT to make it to the ACCCG and CFP AND pump 10 kids into the league every year. That has to be our equalizer like it was back in the day.

Forget about staff relationships and promise of PT. With the transfer portal, none of that even matters any more.

If bags are equal, we’ve got to show that we will win and get you to the league. Otherwise, it’s going to be tough sledding for 5 stars who aren’t OL or TE.
