Who really gives a shlt.

Only stupid blind *** morons knew the guy wasn’t a millimeter over 5-9.

So fūcking what?

He did great things for us in 2020. Without him, we would have been lucky to win 4 games that year.

What’s the point of some of you throwing shade at him?

The same idiots that complain about everything that doesn't go right in there lives....

Not sure why dudes throwing shade.. dude help change our qb room and gave us some good production and wins while he played here..

My 5'8 qb dropped 50+ on FSU ..
Exactly the culture change began with him. Maybe not everybody else was in but I think you see his influence on the freshman this year.

He had his limitations, and there's no need in sugar coating it. We all saw what the O did when Perry took over in the bowl game. When a team doesn't have to defend the deep ball, and stack the line daring you to beat them deep, it gets ugly when you can't do so. Teams figured him out.

Healthy or not, he was not going to do as much damage in 2021 as 2020. There was simply too much film on how to defend him. Take away everything short and make him beat you deep. That also hurt our run game.

His decision making, based on what he could see, was better than any QB we've had in a while. His courage and leadership were second to none. But let's not kid ourselves. He wasn't going to get drafted as a QB even if he stayed healthy.

We're not throwing shade, we are telling you the truth. If you can't handle it, go eat a well done steak with ketchup and maybe you'll feel better.

Man y’all got to rewatch the games.

The offense stalled against Oklahoma State because Lashlee kept spamming the qb run. King was 10-13 when he went down. Lashlee couldn’t do that with Perry or Van Dyke.

Over times, teams figured out that if you challenged D’eriq being too aggressive in the secondary, he would tear you apart for huge plays running AND throwing. The smart dcs played way off and kept everything in front while taking away the inside zone with alignment. Lashlee had no answer.

Teams played much more aggressively against TVD in the secondary and he struggled early on. Lashlee’s lack of experience with a high octane passing attack was becoming a problem. Apparently, Likens stepped up and helped Lashlee be more productive in the passing game.

D’eriq’s atheletic ability allowed Lashlee to fall into the comfort zone of his Malzhan grooming. He did not run the same offense as Perry or TVD. King wasn’t perfect, but Lashlee had a ton to do with the offense stalling.

We could have used King even better, even with him being as productive as he was overall.

So kyle Murray is about a little taller. They are both exceptions. Height does matter. Good luck to him.

King's best option might be to come up here to Canada for a couple of years, show he can sling it a little or move to a WR up here. He'd be a gadget player at the least in the CFL

I hate this revisionist history about King. He was our best QB since Morris at the time. Luckily we recruited over him with Van Dyke… as we should.
F*cking thank you. People on here can’t wait to bash anybody who’s gone. Guy came here and played better than we’d seen in years. We were lucky to have him. Doesn’t make him the greatest, but let’s stop pretending that we were too good for him.
