A lot more athletic than I thought.

Also not afraid to stick his nose in there on kickoffs.

Great pickup.

hes all over the field. i honestly didnt think he was that quick. i really like him and amari.

I don't know why people are surprised that these two are pretty athletic.
Carter was recruited by most big-time programs and Smith was not far behind.

This was my sleeper from this past recruiting class. If he would've been an EE I think we would've saw him earlier.

Big, fast, physical DB with ball skills (WR in high school). I was really high on him. I knew as soon as he got caught up with the playbook he'd be in our rotation this season.

Why would anyone have doubted his speed? Because he only had 3 stars? Lulz.Dude was a high school safety that had no problems covering kids and returning kicks.

me too I didnt think he was that fast...................all these kids r playing great and I cant wait for storm 18 we gun be loaded at db

BRUH THIS GUY GONNA MAKE **** COMPLICATED I CAN'T SEE HOW YOU KEEP HIM OFF THE FIELD. WE'RE LINING HIM UP OVER WR ONE ON ONE AS A FROSH SAFETY AND HE HOLDING HIS OWN 6'2 210 FIRST YEAR IN THE PROGRAM LOL. THIS SAVAGE GONNA BE TEARING PEOPLE HEADS OFF IN 2 YEARS.

I thought the same thing. Smith is a player. I look forward to watching his development under this staff.

Derrick is just all balls to the wall tough. But also has a keen instinct for the ball. Gonna be a great Hurricane. Also I thought Amari Carter's hit was staggering. I agree he is gonna be something. And Bandy is cat quick. Jacquan is the Godfather he is playing lights out.

The thing about these players is, you can expect them to make tackles on runs of the other team tries to force us to put bigger LBs.

Yea i dont know how the **** this depth chart is going to play out. Nobody is taking Redwine and JJ's spot next year. Hall and Jobe are ELITE, but its going to be tough passing Amari and Smith. Then you still got Finley. Dam this is a great problem to have.

It's the way it's supposed to be. People forget Sean Taylor and Kellen Winslow Jr. were stuck on special teams as freshmen. Miami is still 12 scholarships short? I think. Smith and Carter are playing more, and they're big kids they can bring up almost like another LB. I love Bandy blitzing too. I hope to see that at least a few times this Saturday.

I know this has been said many times, but the lack of lb recruiting at the outside lb spot tells you what will most likely happen with one of these guys. Finley, Smith and Carter are all capable of adding 10 to 15 lbs of muscle and moving up on the line with incredible speed to boot. Finely should be the first to transition this spring...

It's nice to have some heavy hitters out there behind Johnson and redwine. Those two are playing well but WRs will much rather get hit by them instead of Smith and Carter. Is there a possible switch to LB with the freshman coming in? Maybe add in Romeo Finley to that list of a potential switch. It's gonna be nice watching Carter deliver hits the next few years though, he strikes fear with his LEGAL hits.
