The problem seems to be either people give you to much credit for having a head on your shoulders and knowing SOME of what you're talking about OR you genuinely don't realize you argued two completely contradictory points. Well people call you on one you ignore the other like you're doing now. Not everything you said was far off. But when you make comments about how were the side chick and other dumb **** like that you're changing the narrative. I only got involved in this myself cause I've never had a football issue with you or the things you've said but now you're being disingenuous. When it was pointed out to you that he's been here multiple times that were unannounced (because you said it's obvious his thoughts on us because he didn't come last week)you made some comment and used some lmao like you know what's going on and because this is taking so long were just being cucks and the longer it takes shows he's not serious about us... Whatever you wanna say just stick to that. Don't call people out their name when they state their opinions on what you're doing.
And what I said about being the girl who think the husband will leave the wife was a joke, but it's a apt metaphor for the situation. And I think that's funny.
No I didn't argue 2 contradictory points. Was gunna leave it be and stop having this argument and just hope he was going to be visiting this weekend (and that being why he missed his OV last weekend or whatever), but lets give a summation of My posts and responses to you. Tell me where I am anywhere arguing different things. You wont be able to without entirely twisting or misreading what I actually meant. My 1st post after the news came out that he apparently missed a scheduled OV here:
A guy that was supposed to pick us but picks Ohio St in a surprise, then is supposed to be on an OV but “doesn’t make it”…. Come on now lmao. We’ve seen this before… this is a smaller and small chance we end up with him. Kid just doesn’t seem to want to be a Cane. Better hope we land Bryant imo
Okay, that's an entirely reasonable read on the situation imo. And Imo its all still true. UNLESS some news comes out that he is visiting this weekend or something and THATS why he missed his scheduled OV, then all I have to go off of is he no-showed an OV. That is objectively not a good sign. Secondly it is a fact that he "surprise" picked Ohio St. At minimum our staff was surprised by it. Again that objectively is not a good thing. So then I say The odds we get him are shrinking after these types of things happen, his actions seem to imply he may not want to be a Cane and we better hope we land Bryant (because those odds are shrinking imo). Which - we ended up doing. So I think that all fully is reasonable. Then you responded with 'even If he's visited', which I responded to with:
Yeah so he’s sneaking around but won’t be seen in public with us lol…. We’re like the girl that believes the dude is actually gunna get divorced and leave his wife…
We are getting closer and closer to where it’s time to **** or get off the pot with Jacob’s purely in terms of when we can realistically keep thinking we really have a shot with him. The longer it plays out without him flipping the less likely we get him. Will we keep recruiting and trying? Sure. With a guy of his talent it’s not worth giving up even during season. But likelihood goes down with time imo, especially when he missing scheduled visits
So I begain with making that joke which IMO was funny AND a pretty decent metaphor. Apparently you don't like this, but hey you don't gotta. Then I said It's getting closer to the time we NEED to get the Jacobs flip or it starts becoming unrealistic to expect it. And the longer it goes the less likely we get him. And I said we should obviously keep recruiting and hope we can pull it off, but I'd view a super late flip (mid/late season or near NSD) as low probability. So again What was unreasonable or "Contradictory" about any of that so far? Nothing. Then you responded again to which I said:
I can enjoy the football season, think we have a great class (including by flipping bryant or even a different top edge like going after Whithead)), and still think the more this drags out the signficantly lower the chances of a flip become.
Okay, look at that I enjoyed last football season a lot, am incredibly excited for this one, think we have a great class, and NOW it's even better because one of the things I literally said happened - Flipping Bryant....
And then I believe my final response to you, before theOriginalDouchebag stepped in to do what he always does and completely changes your argument and says stupid irrelevant **** (oh and we've been arguing about **** he's wrong about for years now, so no I think I will call him whatever I want at this point) was this:
There factually have been far less flipping during the season and leading up to NSD than there has been Pre-NIL (and during NIL but before all these guys were able to sign contracts DURING their HS season). Thats why I'm saying that combined with the visit and suprise committment thing. And that is especially true for the TOP guys. Sure it happens - Like I said I think flipping Lowe is a far better example than flipping Scott. Both happened in November, but a yr makes a big difference with all the NIL legislation changes that had been going on. Like last class we flipped more the later bloomers / big risers in the rankings, not the guys that entered the season as top 50-100 recruits really (Mueller & Dunnigan). Flipping Stancil from Clemson is probably the most similar example? But that was from Clemson who probably isn't the most proactive with NIL deals before they sign? And obviously fell off 10x harder than Ohio state has or willl, and while he was a great flip and I'd consider a whale flip, he wasn't actually ranked as a top 100 guy even... Far different from the NIL impact Jacobs flip would carry...
Okay so my final response was that there is less fliping "During the season and leading up to NSD". At no point did I ever say we couldn't expect flips in the Summer. Objectively by the very fact that I'm hoping for the Jacobs AND Bryant flips shows I know it can be done. There is NOTHING contradictory there. I guess If Your point is you don't think there is any difference in the Timing between a flip in December vs June, then sure you can view that as contradictory, but I disagree. Nor did I even say we can't flip Jacobs or Bryant. I said I view the odds of us flipping either/both as going down over time. That's why I want to get the flips done NOW. Then In my response I say there are 2 good comparisons actually with flips happening In December. So clearly I'm not saying it's impossible. I do say though that I think Justin Scott was more so before the NIL changes that I believe majorly effect how locked in these guys are During the season, especially late and leading up to NSD. But Hayden Lowe is a good counter example of it absolutely being possible that I made lol.
Legit nothing I said was contradictory at all. And the dumbasses that were acting like I said Flipping 5stars is impossible (or flipping Jacobs/Bryant weren't gunna happen) are just that - dumbasses.
