All looks good. Need O line health. In no universe should Berrios be starting over Thomas

Yeah, no way in **** a Senior who's been an established quality starter for 3 seasons should get the nod over a true Freshman who just got to campus and has been nursing a hamstring. That is just nuts.

Thomas will make a lot of money playing this game. Come next year Berrios will have a civilian job. Thomas is a threat to house it from anywhere. If you can't see the talent disparity I don't know what to tell you. I think BB will be good. JT can be great

WR for the New England Patriots is a civilian job?

Is Pinkney #2 due to suspension or did Smith beat him out?

FWIW: Diaz himself said last week that he's not sure who the starters would be without the MP suspension.

I think he has to say that. Smith has improved greatly, and Pinkney has missed majority of fall practice with injury. Smith might have won the start just based on health.

Good point. Pinkney was supposedly on the bike a lot

3 true freshmens on the 2-deep at OL.

That's a recipe for disaster.

It worked out just fine for Clemson last season. They had 3 true freshman, 1 true sophomore, and 2 redshirt sophomores in the 2-deep of their championship offensive line.

Clemson Freshman offensive lineman
2nd Team LT | Tremayne Anchrum 6-2 290 | 3* #24 OG on 247 (enrolled summer 7/25)
2nd Team LG | John Simpson 6-4 315 | 4*#7 OG on 247 (enrolled summer 7/25)
1st Team RT | Sean Pollard 6-5 315 | 4* #30 OT on 247 (enrolled summer 7/25)

Miami Freshman offensive lineman
2nd Team LT | Kai-Leon Herbert 6-5 285 | 4* #25 OT on 247 (enrolled summer 5/22)
2nd Team LG | Corey Gaynor 6-4 285 | 3*#17 OC on 247 (enrolled summer 5/22)
1st Team RG | Navaughn Donaldson 6-6 350 | 4* #11 OT on 247 (enrolled spring 1/17)

From the looks of things the edge goes to Miami. The players were on campus longer (before the start of their freshman seasons) and the Miami players have a higher average overall position rating according to 247.

Homer, Young and Jeff Thomas as our top three KoR guys. Now that's speed.

Just gotta get this Berrios situation rectified.

I'd like to see .....Thomas outside some and used as the primary specialist...hes has game changing ability that could put Miami over the top against a team like FSU...the staff has to find a way to utilize his talent.

Our offense on paper leaves a lot to be desired. OL depth looks like a problem. QB holds a lot of questions and every time Homer touches the ball I fear a fumble.

The defensive line is just awesome. LB is pretty solid but the secondary looks extremely suspect.

I had the shades on all summer. This depth chart smacked me back to reality a bit. Hopefully Walton has a major season as expected and Spencer Whipple exceeds expectations.

Good to see Gaynor on the 2-deep, but man is our OLine depth scary after the starting unit.

I'm not sure why you would say that. Last year proved that we had plenty of Talent sitting on the bench until injuries forced it into play. Can you imagine if we played the entire year with the unit that ended the year?

teams can no longer hit the long snapper after the snap so it doesn't really matter what size he is...

Did not know that! Very interesting to special teams enthusiasts such as myself.

When did that change and where can I see the rule?

Contact Against the Snapper

ARTICLE 14. When a team is in scrimmage kick formation, a defensive player may not initiate contact with the snapper until one second has elapsed after the snap (A.R. 9-1-14-I-III).
