Deon Bush should be moved to cornerback

Possibly barring an injury to one of the top 3 cb. Otherwise absolutely not.

If Jenkins isnt back to his old self, Bush is the only proven safety on the team. I have no faith in Carter, Crawford, and freshman Jaquan.

Safety may have been our weakest position last year.

Maybe if we suffer a cb injury and Jenkins and Jaquan look solid it could be a move down the road but certainly not now.
 
FSU's secondary is wayyy better than ours (talent wise), but I think Deon Bush would go over there and start right away at S or CB....with that being said dude is talented if im coach Golden Im moving him around in the secondary...and someone mentioned he's 6'1" 205 so he's too big to play corner Antrel Rolle played Corner here at 6'1" 210 if im not mistaking.
 
deon is an nfl safety. the kid struggled to be healthy but he makes plays when he is. especially in big games. Artie, Corn, and Tracy have the talent and ability to be comptentent corners. half the problem is we get no pressure on the qb. it dont matter if deon sanders is back there.
 
Keep bush @safety. Jenkins and quan can help at cb in spurts of necessary but Im interested in seeing Jackson as the dime back though. I believe he was a juco so he should be more developed physically

Jackson kerr isnt a juco but he should get early burn the kid can play

Everything I've read about him has been positive. He was here all spring and has reportedly picked everything up extremely quickly.

CB Bush - Howard
SS Johnson - Crawford
FS Carter - Jenkins
CB Burns - Elder
 
Elder should start. He's the only DB that seems to be able to play the ball in the air.

Bush is best safety.

Carter was awful last season; couldn't make a tackle.

Burns / Howard haven't come close to living up to expectations here. Between getting burned by UVA WRs and having no ball skills, I always cringe when the opposing QB steps back to throw.

I wish we had the depth at CB to give Artie Burns a shot at S. Would be intersting to see him back there with speed and athleticism.
 
Lol at the Tracy Howard hate. When allowed to play he was a blanket on WR's. They took his snaps after his sophomore season for a reason I'd like to keep to myself because it's my opinion.

Yet he got roasted by arkansas st wideouts, but yea lets have him on big physical wideouts and on speedy wideouts in press
 
I don't think we let our CB's stay in the game long enough to really gauge who can play or not. We rotate their asses so much that it's **** near impossible for any of them to make plays on a consistent basis.

Rolle was a freak athlete. I like Bush and think he's a great player, but he couldn't hold Rolle's jock, at least not anything that we have seen out of him yet.

Rolle was a freak athlete. I like Bush and think he's a great player, but he couldn't hold Rolle's jock, at least not anything that we have seen out of him yet.

Would never use the word "freak" to describe Rolle. Bush is a better athlete than Rolle IMO.
