Rumph who is from my city and HS (Atlantic HS, Delray Beach) can’t seem to get any kids from the city nor the county of Palm Beach. That alone for me, means he should see the door.

I think he can obviously relate but being a savage recruiter isn’t his thing. He seems like the low key none aggressive bulldog in recruiting.

lol, because sometimes you gotta hire from within. It’s cheaper. Also, coaches don’t just grown on trees like they all start not coaching. Even those big time experience guys you are drooling over.

There is a reason why Rumph landing Williams was celebrated so hard by Rumph and the rest of this staff. It was Rumph's first real recruiting win. Frierson is a legacy, and he Banda was also the primary recruiter on him anyway. Blades another legacy, was a Cane at birth. Young followed Richt here. Couch and Bandy grew up huge Cane fans and both should have been Canes from day 1 yet we told both they were too small and then finally came to our senses. Rumph has one recruiting win on his resume and has yet to put a noteworthy player in the league.

Who cares if rumph celebrated when they got Christian Williams, tf he’s supposed to be mad when the kid chose Miami? That’s what the **** coaches do when they get commits... go look at what sam Pittman who was at uga does every time they got an olineman commit.

Rumph helped keep frierson in the fold when he was flirting HEAVY with uga, you know banda didn’t do it with all the decommits he has had in the last 3-4 cycles....

Couch ain’t grow up no huge cane fan, he was committed to Tennessee, flipped to Michigan and then RUMPH flipped him from Michigan to Miami. We have seen PLENTY of recruits who are “cane fans” turn their nose up at Miami when they recruit them so yes bandy is still a win regardless how some of you try to spin it. Rumph literally has only had 4 draft eligible players (3 have been drafted) since he’s been at Miami and none were recruited by him? Tf you expect?

I'm confused boss. This thread topic is replacing Rumph because he can't recruit. In my response I said you don't need a coach that directly relates to that prospect in order to recruit them. Are you inferring that CURRENT players can't relate to Rumph/other staff members? Or did you misunderstand my response.
 
Why does everyone of our past coaches minus randy feel like they don’t need to go outside the “circle” to hire coaches?

If manny was such an analytic/ research guy he’d be examining coaches from all over.

This is a performance based industry and point black Rumph, Baker, Patke, etc cannot evaluate, recruit, or develop. They should be shown the door immediately.

I know Banda gets a lot of heat but he just brought in 3 Safeties. I’m not high Washington, but Harrell and Balom are quality guys.

Rumph has shown for 4 years he is all over the place. He Doesn’t even know what to look for.

Bring in Westley McGriff and he’d do wonders around here.

At one point he was a 5 star. He’s been here two year and hasn’t done jack ****. He not being slept on. He’s just not good just like Ivey.
