Deion to Nebraska??

Deion appears to be a great motivator and I suspect a recruiter. I am not betting against him no matter where he goes.
He's got something you can't teach. He connects with these young men at another level. They gravitate toward him and he gets them to work hard. Its a big jump from Jackson State to the Power 5 though. He's got a fun offense.

My understanding is that at GT the admissions standards are waiverable because graduation rates are high. However, all students, even the athletes, HAVE to take at least two calculus classes to graduate. Even the underwater basket weaving majors have to take the calculus courses to graduate. So getting in might not be as challenging, but graduating isn't nearly as easy. That could scare off a lot of recruits.
If u thinkt hem kids actually have to do work to pass classes i got a Josh Gattis playbook to sell ya

You sure every student has to take the calculus courses? They hard as ****. Got a friend of mine whose kid is a freshman at Tech and the kid says the calculus class is hard. Kid good in math - only missed one question on math section of SAT.

Ok, Deon should take Auburn job instead.

I dont see him having any interest Auburn or Nebraska for that matter.

I think he's actually a good CEO type coach - he can recruit and doesn't seem to be the type of HC that insists on being seen as the smartest guy in the room. If he had an offensive system that wasn't working, I don't think Deion would hesitate to change to a totally different scheme. That would be a refreshing change from many coaches who shall remain unnamed.

The one thing I would question is whether he'd be willing to put in the 16-18 hr days that most P5 coaches do. You don't see a lot of former NFL players retiring and becoming college HCs. It is an incredible amount of work. He doesn't need the money, he just seems to really enjoy the coaching aspect. In a way it kinda reminds of Bud Foster. A long time ago I used to work with one of Foster's former college team mates. They were still good friends. I asked if Foster would ever consider a HC job. He said never in a million years. Foster was the perfectly content with his life. He made more than enough money to support his family, loved the area where he lived, and didn't want the stress of being a HC.

Surprising I thought GT would be a great fit for him as long as they were willing to put up the $

They’d hire Mickey before Deion. If they can somehow beat Wisconsin and Iowa, Joseph would be their guy.

He’s already changed his offensive scheme. His new OC was given to him from Mike Leach.

Is there a more deserving fan base in college football than Nebraska? They sell out every game and travel Real well. They’ve supported as much crap as we have. Hope they land a coach who can turn it around.

I hope they roast in the hellish fires Of perpetual mediocrity until the end of time.

Aside from this fact ^ i agree with you 1/320000000 heartedly.

Wasn't aware of that. I think the kids it would most likely affect under Deion though are the ones that say at their commitment ceremonies thar they're taking their talents somewhere for "the next 3-4 years". Soooo that 6 credit graduation requirement probably wouldn't be any sort of dealbreaker on the recruiting front.
