Not sure Mond would score a tonWhy? Missouri and Tennessee suck, Leach is a joke, and Georgia’s offense is a dinosaur.
Mond and Kiffin would score a bunch.
How different would they be

Well, that’s a little hyperbolic, UGA is scoring 30 points a game but whatever.....
It really comes down to;
Are those SEC teams really as bad as the ACC teams we played and is our defense is really on par with Bama.
The answer is no to both. Stats just don't mattter especially when we play some of the poorest teams in footbal.
Below average compared to who...? Miami? The ACC? UGA, scoring 30 points a game.A&M and Ole **** are both good offenses. Every other team on that list is below average or worse.
NCstate averages 33. What about the other juggernauts you listed?Below average compared to who...? Miami? The ACC? UGA, scoring 30 points a game.
Only difference was Rousseau...He was DC last year too.
3 of the top 4 guys in the program are LB coaches.
Got this from Manny Navarro:
The Hurricanes are giving up the same amount of yards per play on defense as No. 1-ranked Alabama.
Shaq and Pink are a big difference.Only difference was Rousseau...
Yes. But all against better teams. You are still using stats to prove a point.NCstate averages 33. What about the other juggernauts you listed?
MSU- 16.3 ppg
MIZ- 22.3ppg
TENN- 20.7 ppg
UGA- 29.0 ppg (62nd of 123 teams)
The first 3 teams are among the lowest scoring in FBS
Total yards is probably not the best indicator.
Do you have stats for yards per pass/rush?
I’m wondering if the backers have a big part. While we are giving up 6.6 in YPA in passes, we r giving up 11.10 YPC. It appears a lot of completions are happening in these soft areas and ran out for add’l yardage.Yards per attempt, passing:
2020 -- 6.6 YPA (32nd overall)
2019 -- 6.9 YPA (34th overall)
2018 -- 5.6 YPA (2nd overall)
2017 -- 6.3 YPA (15th overall)
2016 -- 6.2 YPA (12th overall)
Yards per attempt, rushing (This is skewed somewhat because sacks count as rushing plays for the offense in college):
2020 -- 4.14 YPC (48th overall)
2019 -- 3.21 YPC (10th overall)
2018 -- 3.82 YPC (36th overall)
2017 -- 3.47 YPC (17th overall)
2016 -- 3.70 YPC (20th overall)
Average them over the past 5 years, we've had the 19th best pass defense in YPA and 26th best rush defense in YPC.
I would venture to bet there are not 8-10 teams in America who can match those numbers.
Which again goes back to what most people with a clue here say....it's consistently a very good and occasionally great defense. If you don't agree with that, I'm sorry, you're allowed to have your opinion, but it's still wrong.
And PS...yes, it's down THIS year. All the metrics bear that out. It's not a total sieve. But it's not as good as the previous 4 years thus far. Is it Baker? Is it the backers? Has the scheme changed? Not sure. But so far this year, the numbers are down. The past 4 years have consistently been very, very good. Put this offense with the 2018 defense and we probably go undefeated. You don't do that with some horrendous defense, like people around here like to claim that we have.
Yes. But all against better teams. You are still using stats to prove a point.
You said UGA was below average. They are 4-2 and only lost to bama and UF. If 4-2 UGA is below average scoring 30 points a game then who is average? Who is above average? Tell me who is in the top 5 in scoring and yards and then tell me we are supposed to take these stats seriously.
30 points a game at 4-2 and you said below average.....
It is just hyberbole and now you are trying to back it up.
The entire point is you cannot directly compare the schedule we played vs the schedule Bama played and claim we are on the same level based on stats.

You keep moving the goal posts. None of the teams I listed are good offensive teams. Georgia is the closest but statistically, they’re average at best. 80th in total offense out of 123 FBS teams who have played a game this year. 62nd in scoring offense which includes special teams and defensive touchdowns.Yes. But all against better teams. You are still using stats to prove a point.

We get killed on those little misdirection dump offs to backs and tight ends. Two yard passes that end up going for 10+ because we don’t have a linebacker within 10 yards of the guy catching the pass. We tend to remember the few downfield passes that beat our DBs but we get gouged way more often on underneath stuff and short routes that pick up lots of YAC.I’m wondering if the backers have a big part. Tell that to: Bama, UGA, Clemson, OSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, LSU, etc who pull Blue Chip on Blue Chip every year regardless of who is in front of them on the depth.Who had a hard job recruiting linebackers given three long-time starters had the positions locked up till this season. Recruits do their homeowrk too, they will always want to see a pathway for them personally to get on the field.
Then along came a fella named blake
