Yeah this was a wish list unfortunately Dan Quinn ain’t happening..as for Muschamp..I don’t think he’s a cultural or scheme fit for Miami.

Go out and get Dan Quinn for DC and Jess Simpson can come back as his DL coach again. That Seattle legion of boom 4-3 had some similar concepts as what Many seems to like. I dont see him giving up his scheme but if were to turn it over to a real DC, I imagine the system would have to at least align somewhat.

Legion of Boom was a press Cover-3/Cover-1 defense, nothing like what Manny runs.
I'd welcome that all day at Miami!

Amen to that. I was screaming just put 8 in the box and put an end to this ****. Some say our DBs would have been further exposed. It didn't matter. Most of UNC's big plays had no safety help anyway. Given how UNC ran the ball, they didn't need to throw it. They averaged 12 yards per carry BEFORE contact!!!!

Mark Dantonio, NC winning DC at OSU, hired Pat Narduzzi as DC when he first got his HC gig. He completely abandoned his massively successful Saban defense in favor of a young guy. The result was like a decade of top ten defenses.

If Mark Dantonio, whose resume as a DC absolutely demolishes Manny’s, can let go of his ego and hire someone who doesn’t run HIS scheme, then Manny effing better.

John Heacock is running a defense that Brent Venables visited to learn how to stop the spread. Their scheme would be amazing at Miami. But, it’s not a 4-3 so the idiot brigade would be ****ed.
