Defensive Cordinator Wishlist

Go out and get Dan Quinn for DC and Jess Simpson can come back as his DL coach again. That Seattle legion of boom 4-3 had some similar concepts as what Many seems to like. I dont see him giving up his scheme but if were to turn it over to a real DC, I imagine the system would have to at least align somewhat.

His defense is literally nothing like Manny’s. Dan Quinn was an NFL DL coach for Rex Ryan and worked for Saban in the same role, and then Pete Carroll. All three of those guys preach gap control, and it’s why you cannot run the ball on them at all.

This list times TEN.

John Heacock is running a defense that Brent Venables visited to learn how to stop the spread. Their scheme would be amazing at Miami. But, it’s not a 4-3 so the idiot brigade would be ****ed.
Aggressive 3-3-5 which PS I actually line up in a lot. 2nd most used package behind our “4-3” variant...it’s really a 4-2-5.

A realistic option who's forte is with Linebackers.

Tulsa plays Cincy Saturday and is ranked #23 so we will see how good the Def is.

Their only loss was to Ok State 16-7 and they held Hubbard to 3.4 YPC.

Very verse in running a 3-3-5

About to have a 1st round pick LB in NFL draft

***Add TRob to the staff after Rumph is canned.

But for real...

Do y'all really think he'll fire Baker?
I mean, at the end of the day it's basically Manny's scheme. What makes us think he'll hire somebody who's that much different?

Self preservation?
I hope so.
I know all these guys are egomaniacs. But his D ain’t working. It gets lit up by every team with a pulse. If Manny likes money and keeping his gig he should bring in a DC and keep his ego in check. I also don’t think the guy is getting canned anytime soon.

I hope, like you, he believes in self preservation.

What he needs to do is get our line to play more displinced on downs 1-2 and on 3rd go nascar to the QB. And it will solve a lot of his problems. Play more press man too. He needs a fresh mind in there. Too many guys that think like him creates yes man and no advancement in the defense

What about Lovie Smith? He just got fired at Illinois. He was an animal for the Bears & they forced hella turnovers. He got fired after a 10 win season with the Bears. I’m a Bears fan. His defense would be nice here with the pass rush! He also enforces TACKLING! Wrapping up TACKLING
Guess he didn’t emphasize tackling at Illinois?

I love how TCU plays defense. Glasgow is not leaving TCU again. Coach Diaz needs to take the whole defensive staff and sspend a month with the TCU coaches and have them help retool Miami's defensive structure.

Go Canes
Can we kidnap GP and leave manny at tcu????

In 2001, Miami Hurricanes head coach Larry Coker hired Shannon to be the Canes' defensive coordinator. That year Miami won the BCS National Championship, and Shannon received the Broyles Award recognizing him as the best assistant coach in college football. The Hurricanes' 2001 national championship team is widely considered to be one of the greatest college football teams of all time. During Shannon's six years as the Hurricanes defensive coordinator, his defenses consistently finished among the best in the nation:

Maybe he does now...I would take how bad he sucked while here as a DC again though.
Me and you could have won broyles award w the talent dripping everywhere on defensive side during those years!

no thanks w Radio, been there, done that
