My apologies if this is already a thread. But was it just me or did he look like he had some serious speed hitting that corner? I had no idea he was a speed.

If he can solve the drops he can be an amazing WR . Pope Highttower and Wiggins are a great class of WR to have together.

Speed has never been an issue with him. The issue is his pb&j hands. Hopefully he can work on his catching the football skills so he can be a real productive player then.

That was exactly what I remember hearing during camp. And I believe Pope has gone on record with saying Wiggins is without question faster than him.

I was going to say the same thing about Osborn but then remembered that nifty little spin move that got us a big first down. But yeah, those 3 should be getting a jet sweep once per game

Agree on Wiggins. His speed (and size) were impressive.

That said, got to give Coach Enos some credit for finally integrating the jet sweep into our offensive scheme. We were begging CMR to do this. He wouldn’t. How many jet sweeps did we run against BC? I’m remembering 3. Is that correct?

Trivia: when was the last time the Canes ran 3 jet sweeps in the same game?
Answer: I have no idea. Can’t remember 3 in one game.

A while back, during an interview when Pope first arrived to UM, he was asked the question "who on the team is faster than you?" The first person that he named was Wiggins!

Made that exact comment in the stadium. He didn't look "fast against Bethune", he looked fast period. Caught me off guard

Wiggins is a jet. man! Stubblefield gets him to keep improving those hands like he has Harley, etc and he may be a stud by his senior year.

I think what we're seeing as the games go by is Enos is learning more and more about his personnel. You have to remember he didn't recruit any of these guys, so he's still being introduced to their strengths, and weaknesses.

I think by mid-season we'll see a fast pace to the offense and more of our weapons being strategically used.

Even if Thomas leaves, a WR core of Harley, Pope, Hightower, Wiggins and Payton will be quite good, with freshmen coming in to build depth.
