That same scenario happened two years in a row. Kid was committed to Minnesota, then Miami offers in early January, kid de commits from Minnesota, visits Miami and looks like a lock. Then UF swoops in with a late offer and get the last visit and commits/signs with them.

Austin Barber in the 2021 class and Pyburn in the 2022 class. Infuriating at the time,

not happening. If we were truly desperate. Like a scroggins was out long term situation then yes I could see it. But you can’t take the snaps away from Blount, scroggins, insert name

Hopefully they stay out. They shouldn't be getting in the way of people getting their money, they steal enough from us, at least don't get in our way.
 
He would fill the Lowe role perfectly. Stout, physical run stuffing DE who can eat snaps in heavy and on early downs. Allows Blount go get into that 3T rotation and also play the edge.

It’s a business at the end of the day. You’d also be able to say “well if Lowe was still here, we wouldn’t be brining anyone in.”

The kids are getting paid to be here. Most of them, handsomely. You want snaps? Show me you’re better than this kid if he shows up. This is professional football. We are always looking to replace you, so you better tighten the **** up.

Yeah, the day's of worrying about if the "kids" are getting upset are over, when your pulling down the kid of cash even the regular guys are, you need to learn to cope.
My daughter goes to an SEC school and her roommate dates a third string o-lineman, kids making 100k playing on special teams.

They will understand that the playing is coming from the NFL and not some scrub off the street.
