I meant to post it on the DT board. I actually listed him in the 2028 DT board OP and then pasted the clips in the wrong thread and wrong year. He will definitely outgrow DE by the time he's a senior.

Recruiting is about to kick into high gear with a flurry of spring visits on deck. Here is the latest:

- There are three names to monitor at quarterback: Will Mencl (Chandler, AZ), Davin Davidson (Sarasota, FL) and Israel Abrams (Chicago, IL). Davidson has been on campus and Mencl and Abrams have visits on deck. It's still too early to call this one, as the visits are key and the QB position is always subject to dominoes falling at other schools. But these are the names in play right now.

With spring practice kicking off for the Hurricanes earlier this morning, it means the recruiting cycle for the 2027 class begins to heat up.

Key West defensive lineman Josh Johnson announced his commitment to Miami, choosing the Hurricanes over the Florida Gators.



A 6-foot-5, 266 pounder, Johnson only played four games this past season due to injury, but that hasn’t stopped his stock quickly rising across the past few months.

+ Elite defensive linemen and pass rushers are slated to be on campus as well, headlined by a pair of flip targets in Ohio State five-star commit David DJ Jacobs and LSU verbal Jaiden Bryant. Jacobs committed to the Buckeyes over the Hurricanes in December, but The U led most of the fall and remains a factor moving forward. Miami has never let up on recruiting Bryant. I think Miami is still one to watch for both. The nation’s No. 2 defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou is another headliner this weekend.

Honestly gameplan should be DJ Jacobs and at least one of the two likely reclasses from 28 in Ghioto and Jackson Vaughn. To add to Deroche

We'll see if like Xavier Perkins and Marquis Evans we have a shot at. Also idk why we wouldn't recruit Wyatt Smith out of STA (son of Bengals Justin Smith so Missouri legacy). We should be all over him imo.
