Don't know if a proven coach would want that situation unless they guarantee a bigger NIL financial commitment. Seems they lose a lot of players yearly. Hope they don't and continue to suck.

You thinking he’s happy being an OC for a great recruiter, especially if we just keep getting the top portal QB? Or is he just waiting for the right program to come calling? I mean if he gets a raise to be highest paid OC in CFB or something, it’s a pretty good setup given Mario can be trusted for Oline…

Thing is if you’re gunna be super selective about a HC job, most top programs aren’t hiring first time guys like that, so a program in B12/ACC or lower end SEC/B1G is likely best you’d hope for.

The best offer that he’d probably jump at would be UF. But I’d think UF would hire Fisch over Dawson. but like also with UTenns success and Giles’s doing well at USF, I’d think top teams would go with him too over Dawson…

They want someone with experience - coaching and NIL. They are also looking to restructure their athletic department. Sounds like a GM position will be added. The AD is NOT making this hire; they are forming a special committee.

Dawson's name is going to be on every list.
