Dawson is fed up with the inside run talk

Dawson is smart and explains offense really well.

Still, he sounded a little ridiculous. He either is blind and brainwashed by Mario or is pretending he doesn’t know what everyone is asking, in order to protect his job.

This is literally Mario’s run game identity. This is how he likes for the run game to look. Just say that..

All that extra bs he was talking is straight up bull****. They don’t even attempt to mix it up in the run game. It only bounces to the outside because we have RBs with a brain who realize the bs call up the middle isn’t going to work.

**** is very alarming when coaches feel the need to be stubborn and try to convince everyone else the bs they talking makes sense

He has his faults but let this “run up the middle” **** die. We have already gotten in to the tight splits convo and beaten that horse to a pulp. As a ball carrier, you would not run outside as often if the defenders on each side have a wider area of attack to work with > due to less area covered laterally > from tight splits. Let’s talk about these ******* screens and the QB ignoring easy check downs for shot plays.

I got it wrong. The outside guys were in the B gap not head up over the G’s. But still you know they’re crashing down

About 6:30 left in the 3rd.

Every team now crashes down to those gaps. It's so bad that now sometimes we can't even run on 6 man box b/c LBs/Safeties are hard charging the LOS at the snap and blowing up the gaps at predictable playcalls.

Shannon needs to break this tendency and his up some playaction or toss sweeps, etc, just to keep those LBs honest and preventing them from crashing down to the LOS at the snap

I've said plenty about Dawson on here, and also these guys are making Top 0.00001% in the country money, so they can put up with some ****, but it still does crack me up to think about Shannon Dawson, who has been coaching football for 23 consecutive years, having to get up to a podium and listen to Gary ******* Ferman haahhaahhahahahahha
And then Adam Lichtenstein flies off the top rope with his stupidity.

People actually get tired of running it and getting nothing??? Who knew??

the play was less than a yard. Obviously the play call should have been a run. It's less than three feet and we have Fletcher. The problem wasn't the play call against the formation.

Problem #1: the Center and the RG didn't block worth a ****. The C got manhandled and pushed back two yards from the LOS and Cooper is about to get pushed to the side.

Problem #2: I understand wanting to run behind Cooper and CiCi, but this play should have gone left. Bell, Samson, and Lofton all pushed their guy back, and CJ, who is an excellent blocking WR, could have peeled and taken on the FS that was lurking. Fletcher should have bounced this to the left and then outside. He would have walked into the end zone.

Also, even if Fletcher stays right like he did, if the center makes any half-*** attempt at a block, it's a first down (barely, but still a first down).

This is a straight up retarded.

Most of what we run is open to kicking outside if the play dictates it. If we run duo and the outside player doesn't set the edge then it can bounce for a big gain outside. If we run the jet motion where the TE kicks out the edge guy then we can also bust a big outside run.

DTs are in 4i’s (inside shoulder of OT). Usually responsible for the B gap in base defense.

Nose is in a 0 tech, head up center. Might slightly be shaded to the right here because he’s slanting into the strong side A Gap. He beats our center by ripping across his face, which is textbook DL play, and the rest his history.

With all of that said, If Fletcher jump cuts to the left, he has multiple creases, even if that’s not where the play is “designed to go”
