David Njoku to LB?

Lmao I can't wait for the defenders to spin this one

What is there to spin? Freshman gets burn at a new position? Not like they are taking Wyche and trying him out at Punter.

Or taking the Punter and trying him at WR

Haha this happened during Randy's tenure right? We were extremely thin at WR so we had a punter switch to WR. Who was the player?

B. Monroe

I believe he also clocked the fastest 40 time on the roster. Those were some bleak days.

I believe both 5star DJ Williams and Winslow started as FB's..... I swear to god I've never seen so many "fans" hope for things to go wrong in my life...

Pretty sure they want a change in staff that is all as the past years has pretty much decided the Golden girls faith. Yeah if he actually does something this year lot of us will change their mind. AG needs to little less talking and making excuses and start winning vs top teams

So you actually thought people saw Njoku was a replacement for three highly touted WRs all by himself? FOH man...you're grasping at straws trying to find a shiny new reason to hate on Golden even though basically everyone here agrees he's still got a lot to prove.

And are you seriously getting rustled over his decision to add a rangy athlete with experience playing LB to a thin LB corps? Once again, FOH.

"One of the best pure athletes in the New Jersey, Njoku is being recruited as a wide receiver at Miami, though some view him as a tight end or linebacker at the next level. This season, Njoku had 40 receptions for 981 yards and 14 touchdowns, he also rushed for 334 yards and six touchdowns. As a linebacker, he recorded 85 tackles and two interceptions." Lol wasn't he supposed to be the answer for losing out on Lane, Rudolph & Dixon and now 2 weeks in he's already at LB. Seems like a massive reach by the staff right now.

Not sure how I feel about taking the National High Jump champion and asking him to overhaul his body as a LB. But thats the good thing about opinions.

What overhauling? He's already bigger than Grace and the same size as Owens. He was a future TE unless he starved himself or is fully developed at 18 years old.

Njoku listed at 215; Owens weighs more than that. Isn't the primary hindrance to Grace dominating his lack of size? Factor in that Njoku has never played the position before that I know of. And whats wrong with playing TE? I don't really have a major beef with him moving like it has been said we definitely need players there; I just hope he can stay true to his strength which is his otherworldly athleticism while shifting his S/C targets to that of a LB.

He's listed at 230.

I think our team if not every team inflate numbers sometimes.

Doesn't look 230. Looks like a WR.

Njoku gonna end up as TE, more like glorified receiver. Like a Funches or Graham role. Watch.

Doesn't look 230. Looks like a WR.

It's all about angles, perspectives, and lenses. Look how much he dwarfs Coley.

The point, of course, isn't exactly where the needle falls on the scale, but that he's a big *** sum'**** who is gonna end up 250+, most likely, before he graduates.

Mistake on part.

The funny thing is that Njoku's legs are bigger than a certain defensive player's LOL

SO THERE RT @ChristyChirinos: Golden says moving Njoku to LB isn't permanent. Trying things out.

AG is clueless

Seems more like BALLHAWKU is clueless. Yeah, terrible, clueless move by Golden, trying out a large, athletic freshman WR with linebacker experience as a LB given depth problems at LB and an abundance of WRs. Clueless is trying SO hard to make up reasons to attack the coaches that you end up sounding like you don't know anything about football. There are legitimate gripes about some of the coaching decisions, this certainly isn't one of them.

Moving an athletic kid at a logjammed position who hasn't taken a snap anywhere for depth purposes?

RABBLE!!!

Lol if you don't think that guy is in the 230ish range.

The kid is 6-4+ - he's def close to or pushing 230

Njoku has been the second most impressive receiver behind Berrios in Camp. So this signals to me that the coaches are high on his potential at linebacker and want to evaluate what he can do.
