David Njoku to LB?

Lol wasn't he supposed to be the answer for losing out on Lane, Rudolph & Dixon and now 2 weeks in he's already at LB. Seems like a massive reach by the staff right now.

Hmm, I hadn't heard and then I dug around a bit and found this...OP may be onto something.

I was laughing because there is about 10 pages discussing it directly under this thread at the time. It is what it is.

Yeah, I hear ya - you kind of have to click the link to go along with the joke.

Can we move another WR to defense so Consigliere can change his math on the allocation of scholarships to WRs over the next three years?

I'm convinced some of you guys could **** a supermodel and when your buddies ask you about it afterwards you would enthusiastically start *****ing about a mole you found on the bottom of her left foot. I'm not into the preachy anti-mope thing but some of you ******** need to smoke a joint and calm down.

That happened to you too? I always check the foot before banging them now. I won't be fooled again.

Not sure how I feel about taking the National High Jump champion and asking him to overhaul his body as a LB. But thats the good thing about opinions.

What overhauling? He's already bigger than Grace and the same size as Owens. He was a future TE unless he starved himself or is fully developed at 18 years old.

Njoku listed at 215; Owens weighs more than that. Isn't the primary hindrance to Grace dominating his lack of size? Factor in that Njoku has never played the position before that I know of. And whats wrong with playing TE? I don't really have a major beef with him moving like it has been said we definitely need players there; I just hope he can stay true to his strength which is his otherworldly athleticism while shifting his S/C targets to that of a LB.

Your "expert" suggestion then would be what when we've got depth at WR but none at LB, and Njoku would only be an occasional role-player at WR at this point?

As for Njoku being the answer for "losing out" on Lane, Rudolph, and Dixon, no one ever claimed that. He's a very different type of player than those three.

SO THERE RT @ChristyChirinos: Golden says moving Njoku to LB isn't permanent. Trying things out.

Remember all the freak outs over Tucker back to linebacker the other day? And then he scored from fullback in the scrimmage...

Question, what gets more clicks: "Njoku moves to linebacker" or "Njoku practices with linebackers"?

He's listed at 230.

Your right, I was looking at the InsideTheU roster. Still I would think you would ask a player of that height with that kind of lean mass to bulk up. But I'm no expert. If thats where he's best then right on.

I believe both 5star DJ Williams and Winslow started as FB's..... I swear to god I've never seen so many "fans" hope for things to go wrong in my life...

In defence of Shannon, Coker left the roster VERY thin at WR. It was downright pathetic. He had no choice but to plug in any kid he could to fill that void.
Lmao I can't wait for the defenders to spin this one

What is there to spin? Freshman gets burn at a new position? Not like they are taking Wyche and trying him out at Punter.

Or taking the Punter and trying him at WR

Haha this happened during Randy's tenure right? We were extremely thin at WR so we had a punter switch to WR. Who was the player?

B. Monroe
