Close. Based on everything I’ve read we were at around $30 mill before. Bama around $60.
 
I've known Purinton for over 20 years. Real good dude. But, he's a die hard Nole deep down.

That's an excellent point. Almost seems like an unnecessary step that slows us down at a crucial time.

Anyone that’s been at Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, etc that’s seen the commitment it takes. Even Jurich.. he was at a basketball school that didn’t try to compete in football.. just vice versa here. If we’re spending this much might as well just make it Radakovich from Clemson.

Beyond the initial coaching payouts and buyouts, a portion of the investment needs to go to human capital (that is not classified as "coaching"). Forget some of the bigger capital investments in buildings and such right now. We need more brain power. Training staff, data/analytics, real leadership is expensive, etc.

Listen, they restructured UHealth from a complete ****show to an org that will produce significant gains multiple years in a row. It's feasible to do the same in a narrower [athletic] model. If they're willing now because they see the potential value (beyond football success), that's the start many have prayed for. The rest is execution (no easy task, obviously).

Not as much "facilities" as it is "resources".

We need to hire a LOT more people for training, nutrition, recruiting support, stat/video breakdowns, and consultants. Of course, you would probably need to build a small office building for those people too, but that's a much smaller issue.

Great minds...I posted similar stuff just after you did.

People who know what UM is actually doing (as opposed to just "perceptions") know that we are currently losing the "personnel" arms race, more than any other single issue.
