the idea that the school had money and blake just decided not to use it seems kind of silly to me. feels like the school admin is trying to make promises to big-name donors, but i don't entirely trust them
Close. Based on everything I’ve read we were at around $30 mill before. Bama around $60.The extra $20-$30M is nice, but where does that put us in relation to the Alabama's & Georgia's of the world? I know we'll never have more money than the "football is God" State schools, but how close does it get us?
More important business has already happened before that meeting. There have been rumors for a while that November 18th was going to be a big day. Sounds like things are starting to trickle out.
And he’s Chelsea… win winMike Ryan is one of us. ****, I’m 90% sure he posts here. He’s constantly promoting the Canes on national platforms giving the University free publicity. Evidently, he’s connected. Appreciate you, Mike.
That's an excellent point. Almost seems like an unnecessary step that slows us down at a crucial time.I don't understand hiring a firm in our current situation, that they plan on going after proven HC's.... I think a firm helps if you are open to targeting lower level program HC's and coordinators.... so why waste the money on a firm if we truly know the 5-6 proven HC options that they would even consider this time around???
its wild it took for herb to say UM isnt serious about athletics to get serious about athletics lolHerbie for AD
Anyone that’s been at Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, etc that’s seen the commitment it takes. Even Jurich.. he was at a basketball school that didn’t try to compete in football.. just vice versa here. If we’re spending this much might as well just make it Radakovich from Clemson.I dont know. Ask @JayCane20 , he could probably give you a good answer.
Beyond the initial coaching payouts and buyouts, a portion of the investment needs to go to human capital (that is not classified as "coaching"). Forget some of the bigger capital investments in buildings and such right now. We need more brain power. Training staff, data/analytics, real leadership is expensive, etc.Just curious what are some of the areas that our facilities/football program really needs to upgrade? Feels like we've made some progress in the last few years but trail the big boys by a lot. Some that come to mind based off what I know - locker room, players lounge, nutritional stuff, recruiting budget, etc. Seems like 20-30 Mill could go a long way.

Listen, they restructured UHealth from a complete ****show to an org that will produce significant gains multiple years in a row. It's feasible to do the same in a narrower [athletic] model. If they're willing now because they see the potential value (beyond football success), that's the start many have prayed for. The rest is execution (no easy task, obviously).
When is this meeting taking place today?More important business has already happened before that meeting.
It should be 40 to 50 for all the suffering they put us fans through and our once proud football program let's get it..Dude is saying that the program will inject addtional 20 to 30 million a year. Mentioned White (FAU), Frevola, and Associate AD from Bama as candidates.
I posted other day just because you don‘t hear things doesn’t mean a lot hasn’t already happened. That Nov 18 meeting is more smoke n mirrors. There’s a reason I was so matter of fact about manny after Uva and Unc.When is this meeting taking place today?
It would help if he killed off those horrible sidekicks, assuming he can't off himself.I’ll lift my lebatard ban this one time to listen.
So we switching from adidas tho? I know you know, can’t lie to meI posted other day just because you don‘t hear things doesn’t mean a lot hasn’t already happened. That Nov 18 meeting is more smoke n mirrors. There’s a reason I was so matter of fact about manny after Uva and Unc.
