Dam, now Shavar Manuel to Noles

Lol. Maybe I missed sumthin but I don't understand all the hate for jrock. Seems like he keeps it real. If we lose Manuel it's not his fault. We were the leader at one point. Our defense has caused most top DL recruits to think twice about us. **** look at chick. Buddy was average here and is blowin up now.

It's still early. Guy like that we will have to prove that we have a pulse first before he will take us serious.
really you dont get the hate? dont be blind dude. im sure he's a swell dude, but jrock, is always trying defuse the whole Shavar-to-fsu lock. making it seem as if shavar's recruitment is wide open. when it's not.

And please tell me how you know he is not wide open Mr. Insider

Its Kevin. He licks Golden's ****. He knows nothing except for making excuses for Alfred.

FSu is scrambling due to our fast start they are needing their trolls to commit and keep up

You really think this? You're aren't this dumb.

This a fsu fan right here^^^

Doesn't sound like a FSU fan at all to me, just an educated person. FSU is is already 0n our heals, and they have 9 recruits, we have 18 lol. And I am sure when all is said and done, they will be well ahead of us. I wish FUS was scared of us, but I don't think anyone is anymore.

No need for anyone to scramble none of these commitments mean anything to any school until Feb 2016

Lol. Seriously just lol

You saying that these commitments mean nothing to these schools until February 2016 is a joke. It really is. It's one thing for some of these South Florida divas, your nephew included, who don't know what the definition of character and commitment is, but for other players and programs around the country they don't have to deal with this whole "commitments don't mean anything until signing day" bull****.

I know it is shocking, but a lot of top athletes around the country actually appreciate these offers and opportunities to showcase their talents and further their education at some of the top schools in the country. It isn't just some game to them where they wake up every morning and switch their commitments based on which side of the bed they woke up in. I guess it comes to show why these kids are like this, especially when people in their lives (family members) are saying themselves that commitments don't mean anything until singing day. Here's an idea, help your nephew understand what its like to be a humble, hardworking individual who honors his commitment and leaves the drama at the door. Maybe you could reach out to Shaq Quarterman's dad for some advice on the subject

Kind of a weird rant.

The guy stated a simple fact. Commitments don't mean anything right now. its a cold hard fact.

Ask JimBo, Urban, and the SEC teams what "commitment" and "character" mean when they pull an offer for one of their current commits, after they don't develop as expected during their Senior season. Happens to 2-3 kids every signing season at the big schools. Coaches quit contacting the kid and refuse to take their phone calls until they get the message. A lot of those kids "decommit" to save face and then get attacked by posters like you for not understanding "commitment".

Ask the kid that "commited" to GT or UGA a few years ago what "commitment" means when They pulled his offer after a torn ACL.

Until an LOI is signed, commitments don't mean anything. Being "commited" doesn't stop the relentless pursuit by other schools.

These 17 year old kids have some of the most aggressive and sophisticated salespeople on the planet contacting them by phone, email, Facebook, and Twitter, 24/7 for an entire year, and people like you are gonna call them "divas" for not knowing what they want.

Kids all over the country decommit and act like "divas", it's not a South Florida thing. Happens at every top 25 schools. Bama and AU deal with that drama all year.

Kendrick Norton was an FSU commit a year ago. Go tell him he is a punk *** diva that shouldn't be a Cane.

Lol, the same gator fans *****ing about Dalvin Cooks "character" for not understanding "commitment" are the same fans circle jerking about Jordan Scarlett and Cronkite.

ITs all sour grapes unless they commit to your school.

Maybe a little weird but I stand by it. Just sick of seeing all these sofla guys commit ten different times before all is said and done. It happens with kids all across the country but I think it's safe to say it happens in south florida more than anywhere else. Whether signing day is moved up to August or not, somethings gotta be done to fix it.

I understand how big of a decision it is for these guys, but the whole concept of committing has become one big joke and makes these coaches jobs a lot a lot a lot tougher. Obviously the coaches get paid the big bucks and its part of the job, but there has got to be a way to phase this out and bring back the meaning of a commitment. Its frustrating to hear someone say "none of these commitments matter until signing day anyways." It destroys the whole idea behind a verbal commitment when kids do it without putting serious thought into it or having any intention of honoring the commitment

I'm not saying this makes it ok, but 2-3 kids losing offers each year pales in comparison to the dozens of kids that don't honor their commitments each year. There are a few different options to fix this, its up to the conferences and I guess the NCAA to do something about it. I'm sure coaches are lobbying to do something sooner rather than later so they don't have to deal with it anymore

Shavar is far from being a south florida diva, if you ever met Shavar you would know he is one of the most humble kids you have ever met, and he definitely will honor his commitment to whoever he commits and i have told him several times that we don't want him to be one of those guys that commits 3 or 4 times to different schools and that is why he is taking his time and most likely won't announce his decision until signing day.

Shavar doesnt have Facebook, twitter, or any social media accounts he would much rather just be left alone and just make a decision quietly.

Most players I have talked to would much rather not have to deal with the recruiting process (100+ pieces of mail a day, coaches call & texting you continuously, reporters harping on everything you do, fans tweeting and harassing you all the time, etc....) and just be able to enjoy school, play football and make a decision quietly, but unfortunately recruiting has turned into big business and a lot of grown men are eating off the backs of this 17 and 18 year old kids with all their fake stories and inside info they make up for clicks and subs.

I understand the passion fans have for their teams and we as a family know this is a great blessing and opportunity for Shavar that we are not taking for granted, but i feel fans sometimes don't understand how hard it is for some of these guys have to deal with this circus that recruiting has turned into it can be a lot to deal with for a 17 year old.

Shavar has been extremely quite for someone so highly touted....definitely not a diva.

I work with 17-18 year olds, they text but trust and believe he's right these kids really just want to be left alone. Especially with grown men calling them most don't even like talking on the phone.

Yoo jrock what's this I'm hearing of LSU Bagmen coming thru IMG and trying to clean up and shavar now "considering them hard"
