Dalvin Cook vs Christian McCaffrey

McCaffrey has skills, but Dalvin Cook is the real deal. He broke Warrick Dunn's single season rushing record at FSU this year and he wasn't even healthy for every game. Dude is ridiculous.

We had people trying to convince us that Yearby was better, lol.
Cook would average 2 yds per carry if he came here. Reggie Bush couldn't get yds on our offense. We don't block and have suspect play calling

I was typing up my answer and it basically said exactly what you were saying, so I deleted it so I could quote you and just say "This!"

Cook is awesome.

Yearby is averaging 4.9 yards a carry. I am sure Duke averaged more than that last year.

Cook would obviously average more than 2 yds, but it's fair to point out the difference in our O lines. Watching the uf-fsu game now, and (taking nothing away from Cook) dude isn't getting touched at the line on these long runs. He looks faster than Yearby, but what would Yearby look like if he could get the kind of openings Cook gets? Not arguing that Yearby is as good, but I think they're closer than some think. As for Duke last year, this O line is clearly not as good as last year's.

Cook. He will end up the best back to ever play at FSU when its all said and done.

lol great minds think alike.

Cook just had 180+ yds and 2 tds against the gator. Only other guy with a game like that against the gators in the last 5 yrs is Fournette.

I agree 100% with you.

I was disappointed in McCaffrey this season. Late in 2014 I thought he had ultra freakish ability, potentially the best white skill player in decades. Nobody knew about him since he was used sparingly. But his occasional touches were absolutely jaw dropping. He was at a higher level than Dalvin Cook at that point, a higher level than Cook will ever achieve.

In 2015 McCaffrey bulked up due to the radically increased work load. It may have been necessary and logical but he's simply not the same guy. I actually heard once commentator say that McCaffrey doesn't project to NFL star since he doesn't make enough people miss. That type of remark would have been unthinkable during fall 2014.

I would take McCaffrey because Cook is trouble waiting to happen. I would also take Duke over him.
