Dalvin after game

These beat writers sure back pedal a lot and Cook is trolling now because what programs need to changed? Not FSU!
https://twitter.com/Goldkamp247

Dalvin Cook to BHS Network:
"I'm very excited. I know the type of player I am and what I want. I'm going to change the (Florida) program."

so he said "Florida" or you added that part?

You can take it however you want, I just tweeted the quote.

That Cook quote I tweeted was in response to a BHS Network question about going to Florida. Just FYI.

Dalvin Cook quote that'll make #Gators nervous: "I'm committed to Florida. I'm 100% until the Under Armour game." -

he never said Florida, he said "A Program"

Lets be honest here..It appears in all likely hood Golden is a pretty ****** X's and O's coach... If he cant bring it a Running back whos blood brother is on the basketball team. Its a bad sign. FIrst Alex Collins, then Sony Michel now this...If recuiting is suppose to be his saving grace he must bring him in.

How do you make players that just dont want to stay home be there? thats just impossible

He said its about feeling comfortable with the coaches. If the coaches haven't made him the most comfortable, then that's on them. I don't understand this idea that you can't make players stay home who don't want to. The coaches are selling a product, and if people aren't buying, then it's on them. There might be a kid here and there and that absolutely will not stay home no matter what, but I think those are the exception rather than the rule.

ITs called being a salesman, I use to work at a telemarketing ffirm.. We all called the same people and some people made 10 sales an hour while others made 2... He is supposed to be the used car salesman. If he cant reel him he is simply not the sales man we thought he was.. He has a **** of an advantage Burnett being here. Honestly if he loses him to FLorida I wouldnt be as ****ed because they paying and has been in on it. If we lose him to FSU he aint the man we thought he was

If all the coaches are doing is "selling a product," then I would hope the kids could see through that.

I think you're taking too narrow a definition of product here. The coaches are selling the university and all that comes with it (great education, location, tradition, etc), as well as themselves as people and as coaches. I was not using it in a pejorative way.

alex,
And my post was probably overly blunt. I feel that the kids are more perceptive and bring more to the situation from their side than we sometimes give them credit for. Of course, everyone is, to some extent, subject to manipulation, but we on recruiting sites sometimes overlook the fact that the kids are the ultimate decision makers. The kids are actual people with actual brains, who are often swayed by a lot more than the recruiting skills of those attempting to woo them.

Why does nobody ever just say "I have no idea where he's going to go"?

It's ok to keep it real and not pretend like your intuition is better than everyone else's and just say you don't know.

Pete does that all the time. He may have had some bad info last year but if he has nothing he tells it like it is. Guy is straight up.

Dalvin Cook on decision coming down to relationships. "Whoever I feel like it's a family. I want to feel like I'm at Miami Central again."

Tough not to root for this kid, wherever he goes.

It will be easy to root against him if he goes to FSU.

Not for me; I wasn't kidding.

No offense, but you're a fruit if you call yourself a Canes fan and you're rooting for seminoles.

you cant sell someone a car when they want a truck. some kids just want to get away 3*-5* just because they chose to leave doesnt mean AG didnt do every thing short or sending him a check

My feelings about people are a lot more important to me than my feelings about football. I prefer it if the Canes win, but if you have detected that people are much more important to me than who wins the games, you are correct.

Seems like a non sequitur to my response to Franchise. He and I were discussing the matter of who we root for.

How do timeshare salesmen get people to buy stupid fcking timeshares that they neither need nor want? They sell the sht out of them and convince them that it's the best thing for them.

Cook didn't grow up thinking he absolutely needed to go somewhere other than UM. If he goes elsewhere it'll be because those guys convinced him that he should leave the comfort of home and not go to a school where his brother and 3 teammates are going and where his family can see him whenever they want. Seems to me that THAT would be the tougher sales job, not the one that Corch Golden has.

Like blackcloud said, if Al gets whipped on Cook with all those factors in our favor after getting whipped for so many other local blue chippers, then he's failing in the area where he is supposed to be best.

But that only works with people who are pathetically malleable. Some of the kids probably are, but others are not.
