DAILY DEBATE: Who will be our biggest surprise this year?

What player is going to make a big leap this year (like Horton), or make a big surprising impact as a freshman (like Frederique)?
Keelan Marion at Reciever Coming in 10 lbs Heavier at 6-1 203Lbs of Break Away Speed. Develops & become Legit Deep Threat With Beck+ Returns.

Almost šŸ‚ Bullish on it.
Because of what Beck did with Aerian Smith Turn him into a 4th rounder with Poor Ball Skillz & Hands.

Marion Has more Ability & Size.
Smith was pure Speed Guy.

The body control is what really intrigues me. This isn’t just a kid gliding past everyone and catching wide open passes. He tracks the ball very well and controls his body superbly. We had really good, veteran receivers last year, and the only real knock on Jojo was he needed to get stronger. So I’m not killing him at all for the minimal production last year. This kid isn’t JJ Smith in the sense JJ could’ve held up physically in college as a HS junior. Jojo was much thinner. So he’s going to need a little time to develop. IMO year 2 is where you see a kid like this explode. The ball skills, the athleticism, the feel for the position is there. He needs to learn how to be physical enough to body DBs. It’s hard to do at 180 pounds and 18 years old.

Kirby offered this dude after his freshman year. Saban offered him as a sophomore. He has everything you need to be a 1000 yard receiver, he just needs to dedicate himself in the weight room and with KB.

I like how they added his blocking at the end of the hudl lol. The skills are there tho, great hands in traffic too. I'm excited for Jojo, what little we saw of him in clips during spring, you can tell he's put on some size. And the db's we brought in are physical, I'm sure he's getting a good taste of what's to come. From all accounts the kid wants it and is a hard worker. Glad we have a vet in the room w/ CJ as well. I'm optimistic.

I think Joshua Moore will have the most opportunity than anyone.

The return on Joshua Moore starting day 1 to develop through the season is greater than the returns of immediate production from CJ Daniels.

As the saying goes, if we start Joshua Moore day 1, he'll be a veteran by game 11.

Some people need to learn the definition of surprise. I will go with Lightfoot. When he wanted to fight Barrow, I knew this kid was special.

I’ll go with the secondary being a bunch of ballhawks. We haven’t had that in a good long time, and not only are we are due, but I hear we have an aggressive new DC and some new DBs too.

Potentially CJ Daniels if it is true that his foot injury had been limiting him and he ends up looking like a different player because of health.

It will most probably be someone on Defense due to the new aggressive positionless defense.

Someone we least expect like Chase Smith.
Lowe or Wiley as the Frosh impact players.

To me i think the obvious answers are Markel Bell for the big leap and Joshua Moore for big freshmen impact

I will never forgive Isaiah Horton leaving us for Bama. It was his WR room to own and be that Dude and he said
Peace Out Reaction GIF
At the time his QB was Emory Williams. I would have done the same thing if we keeping it šŸ’Æ
