IF we make the CFP this year with Beck, with the talent we have coming in next year, we probably hit the portal for a top transfer. However, in 2027, it’s Coleman or Nickel.

Mario isn’t going to roll with a rookie QB (even tho it’ll be a redshirt year). He’s going to spend on veteran QBs who are adults.

I think our staff likes our guys as well but our staff is realistic. Judd is nowhere close and Emory is just not that guy. Nickel is too young, imo, so the obvious answer is a portal. Portal QBs will be banging down our door assuming Beck has a really good season. It would be dumb to pass on that kind of oppty. After that, 2027 is an open comp and whoever on the roster wins it, that's our guy for a couple years. But for 2026, it's gotta be a portal, imo.
