Poor ******* had to play the Canes in an OB as well as regular season. 0-5 career against the Canes. In today's day and age, a mark likely never to be matched or broken.
I met Rix, he’s actually a great guy. I remember asking him how it was playing against those Miami teams, told me he could barely sleep at night before the game, and his body felt the worse after playing Miami

Dynamic? Sean Taylor. Complete package, box safety, center half, man coverage, blitzer, literally everything.

If we take defensive player literally, you could say Devin Hester as well.

Russell Maryland.... His 1990 season was amazing... First Hurricane player to ever win the Outland trophy...

anyone who says a name other than "Ted Hendricks" not only has no clue what they are talking about, but needs to have their 'Canes credentials permanently revoked.

(ST26, Ray Lewis, and ER20 all deserve honorable mention, but Hendricks is the GOAT. Full stop).

In the early days before we had talent at multiple positions, I'd say Hendricks was the best. But for us old timers a guy like Ruben Carter was not far off.

I think there are a handful of guys you can pick for this. Even though he was a little before my time, you have to pick the guy with a trophy named after him, Ted Hendricks.

I have to go with Hendricks for the senior vote, and a tie between Ed Reed and Sean Taylor for the current generation.
