Iowa. They will win 10 or 11 games this year and it will not be pretty.
I swear i almost said them till i did a lil research and there saying the offense still stinks and cade is in a real competition. I think osu is a guaranteed L then some of those close games will go the other way this year but your prediction isn’t too crazy imo

A&M, Arizona, maybe Iowa (but I think Iowa ends up losing a few nail-biters due to lack of firepower).

I don't think OSU is guaranteed. They are in for a rude awakening at QB. First one to 10 may win. I don't think @Memnon looked at schedule or just believes in Fatt Rule and some other coaches more.

One thing I never do is come to a debate unprepared. Of course I looked at the schedule & have a full run down of their roster & Coaching staff additions/subtractions.

There is no material reality where Iowa beats OH ST at the Horseshoe.

Iowa ST, Mich ST, Wisconsin & Nebraska are all toss ups, none of those games are guaranteed W's for Iowa.

You might be believing in their Defense a little too much.

-Ryan Day every year gets into dog fights in games he should win.
-Wisconsin will be on the backup QB by then.
-Iowa St is a rivalry game and they are having some cam injuries 👀.
-Mich St has a new coach with a first time starter and a depleted roster.
-Nebraska could go either way but I've seen this experiment before.

Idk if I agree with the people saying Arizona. Brennan is a good coach but he needs to get his dudes in there. This is a transition year and they lose the offensive minded Jedd. I’m expecting them to take a step back.

1-6 are a tier of their own. 7-10 is entirely teams that are either always overrated and/or putting too much stock in 2023 results. 11 down to 25 is anyone's guess.

Miami seems like the obvious choice but I'm sure I'm being a homer. Our roster is certainly more loaded than anyone around us in the poll.

I lean towards Clemson being the next most underrated from a roster standpoint. All depends on Klubnik.

Not even ranked that I think end up ranked... SMU and Iowa State.
Full Homer: Ward is the most talented QB out here and those 1-6 teams are at best a push with Miami on the line of scrimmage and at WR & RB

I'd have to believe it to see it as far as stacking up with powers like UGA, Alabama, Ohio State, and Texas. We've never even shown up to compete when playing Alabama, Clemson at their peak, FSU when they were a playoff/NCG power, etc. in the last decade.

I see it like this comparing the top 6 teams to Miami
OC: Ole Miss>Texas/Bama>Oregon>OSU>Miami>UGA
DC: UGA>Bama>OSU>Texas>Miami>Oregon/Ole Miss
QB: Miami/Oregon>Texas/UGA/Bama>Ole Miss>OSU
RB: OSU>Miami>Oregon>UGA>Bama>Ole Miss>Texas
WR: Ole Miss>>Oregon>OSU>Miami>Texas>Bama>UGA
OL: UGA>Texas>Alabama>Oregon>Miami>Ole Miss/OSU
DL: OSU>UGA>Ole Miss/Miami/Oregon>Bama/Texas

So in the mix everywhere. I feel like we should be able to compete at that level at least on paper. Not factored is ranking the HC of each team where Mario would easily slot into last place by a wide margin. Maybe that is the differentiating factor in the gap from 1-6 to Miami.

QB is probably up for discussion. NFL draft projections are probably different having Beck higher and Gabriel lower but I'm not high on Beck. Ward seems to be in the top 3 round conversation at worst and mentioned by many to be this year's Jayden Daniels.. which would probably have him QB1 in the draft in a weaker year.
