DAILY DEBATE: Who is the greatest WR in Miami history?

I think Reggie Wayne was underrated both here and in the NFL.
He had 4 different starting QB’s here, played in an horrendous 1997 offense and then had to compete with Marvin Harrison and Edge for targets at Indy.

irvin
Wayne
Brown
AJ
Moss

After that, there’s a wide gap.
How can you not include restrepo? He surpassed all the receiver you named in yards and receptions. If you're counting NFL career, then ok
We all love X, but...
Put any one of the 5 guys he mentioned on last years team and they would have set records.
Put Santana and Wayne on this team in '24, we average 50 and are compared to LSU's 2019 offense.

By your logic, Restrepo and Harley are the 2 best WRs in Miami history.

I'll let that marinate.

This. No shade on X, but he’s not touching those other 5, despite what the stats say.

Original question is tough because Irvin was so great, but Andre Johnson was a beast. AJ would’ve absolutely destroyed the game back in the 80s because guys his size didn’t even exist at WR.

All of them are more talented than Restrepo. They did not have better careers at Miami.

If were talking as a college WR, Santana was a menace at WR and returning kicks. Most exciting WR that I can remember that we've had.

Then it's a talent vs production argument.

From a consistency and production (while here) I’d go with Michael Irvin. His 3 years here are better than what anyone else did in 3 years.

From an overall talent standpoint point I’m taking 2001 Dre over anybody that’s been here.

Let’s not allow stats alone be the basis for arguing who’s the best with debates. If you do that then TVD is a better QB than Cam Ward because his “overall” stats here are better… yeah, nevermind he was here for 3 years vs 1 year because that doesn’t matter right? And further, Cam’s also “not” even one of the top 10 QB’s all time to play at Miami because there’s a bunch of guys who have better overall stats than him.

Smh.

I get what your'e saying but by that logic Jacory Harris is closer to being the best QB to ever play at Miami then Cam Ward is..thats the problem with going by career stats

If I’m drafting a team and I have to pick on UM receiver, it’s Andre Johnson.
