But you're trying to compare X to a guy who has retired and using Roscoe's pro production as an argument in his favor. I mean, let's try and limit it to college production otherwise premature to argue.Smith couldn’t unseat X b/c Smith didn’t live up to the hype. Lol.
U’re trying to compare a guy who was a 2nd round pick that put up absurd all purpose yards in a shorter period of time to a one yr wonder who may or may not get drafted. (& b4 ya’ll get offended, I told u what would happen w/ Rambo when u thought he was the cat’s meow w/ the #’s he put up in one season).
Like I get we’re in this age of recency bias, but my goodness, the stats show what’s what.

But I disagree with you that X is a one year wonder. If he's healthy, he's going to break all sorts of records here. And if you believe the reports, X is going to get drafted in mid-rounds.
Also, you can argue recency bias, but there's also a bias towards our favorite players of yesteryear. Like I said, Roscoe was one of my faves too. Dude was amazing.

This right here. It’s Roscoe and it’s not that close. With this season left to play, X can still close the gap. If X can add a little more production in the return game (assuming he might have some opportunities in PR), we might be having a different conversation in a year.Roscoe and it's not particularly close
Yep I forgot BuchananRoscoe wasn't even the fastest on the 2001 UM team. No way did he have 4.2 speed. PBuch was the fastest on the 01 team.
I hate these type questions, both are good players, but one’s about to get **** on in CISThis one is out of left field, but somebody asked me this on the Canes Connection call yesterday and I thought it was interesting. Who do you got?
You did! You said that Roscoe was a 2nd round pick and said X may or may not get drafted. You were factoring into the debate NFL potential or draft status as if it is indicative of college careers. I mean, I agree that X is likely not a top 2 round pick.I didn’t use his pro production. Lol. I literally used what he did at Miami in a different era, in a shorter period of time. And Parrish ain’t my favorite player, like not even close. I just understand complete context vs. and eye test don’t lie, either.

I agree. I'm a huge Roscoe fan but I definitely am going with X.Unpopular opinion but I’m going with X; and I think he will have a **** of an NFL career.
It should be between Braxton Berrios or X...Roscoe was a much better returner, but X is a better receiver IMO. His size makes a difference- he's a legit 200+ with a running back build. This helps him both with contested catches and after the catch. Roscoe was really skinny.
Roscoe was a better receiver than Restrepo is a returner, so I'd say Roscoe was better all-around while X is a better offensive player.

In any event, always a pleasure to go back and forth with you because it never gets personal. A rarity on this board![]()
No, X is in another level. That's like comparing Buck Ortega to Greg OlsenIt should between Braxton Berrios or X...
I guess it depends how you define football player. Roscoe is a more natural, fluid athlete and far more explosive. However, I put X in the better football player category simply because I think he could likely be a RB or a DB. I know there was a lot of talk here about putting X on defense early in his career.Agreed; well, off GP u’re one of my favorite posters b/c u bring sensibility & objectiveness to many talking points, despite being a rabid fan.
I think u misunderstood my point about Roscoe & the NFL. I wasn’t comparing his stay in the NFL vs. highlighting just how good he was here as a player that warranted that draft grade. So I’m saying b/c of the overall value Roscoe brought here as a football player it’s another point to consider regarding comparing the two.
That’s why I highlighted that Roscoe as a complete, utility player was better than X. However, I will say that while Roscoe had more natural abilities than X which lent himself as a gadget player, X is the better route runner.
