No doubt that as a returner, Parrish is far better than X. Parrish was a threat each time he touched the ball. X does not provide that homerun threat (as returner or WR).
I think where we disagree is that because of his build, I don't think Parrish would ever be as dependable a WR as X has been. I think us fans like electric players more (naturally) but coaches and QBs prefer the steady, dependable guy, of which I think X has Parrish beat. It's easy to say that if Roscoe had ever gotten as many targets but I think that's the thing-Roscoe would never have gotten that many targets.
I also think in today's game, with the kickoff return nearly extinct, Parrish's value would be lessened.
