DAILY DEBATE: Which Canes get drafted Saturday, and when?

I said 7 yesterday, I think that number now goes to 6 Canes drafted.

The first one doesn’t get picked until round 5

I know it's been said a million times but I don't understand why guys like Brown and Martinez didn't comeback for one year. Especially in the NIL era.

Come back make some money and move up from UD/4-8 rounder to guaranteed 2-4 rounder. We just saw the draft demonstrate this with multiple 4 and 5th year players betting on themselves to comeback and have dominant seasons their last year in college.

I get why DM didnt. hes a RB. shelf life isnt long. **** get picked but even another season wouldn't make him where Ashton Jeanty or the OSU RBs esp w our run calls.

I'll never begrudge a running back for declaring early. Keep those tires fresh and get to your second contract.

Brown probably hoped that he'd get drafted higher on traits.

I would normally say this but again with NIL I disagree. If Martinez could have put together back to back 1,000 yard seasons here (yes I know he also went over a thousand at OSU) I think he could have went higher. He ran a 4.5 at 230 pounds so he definitely had the traits to be drafted but this years running back class was deep.

**** if he comes in to summer camp in slightly better shape he probably goes over 1300 this year.

Yeah Brown was definitely hoping to be drafted on traits but the lack of production with those traits is interesting. We ran off Horton for him so I'm kind of sour about Brown leaving early and leaving us with that hole.

Martinez weight & X's speed might end up hurting them.

I hope our next 4 are off the board by the 5th and George sneaks into the 7th

Could Martinez be a more physical Arian Foster, LeVeon Bell type? With one of their late rd. picks the Fins should give him a look. Rivers too. Good value in 6th or 7th.
